I have seen a lot of posts regarding the scents on Soarin or on how the experience is best in the highest row, center but I havn't seen anything about leaning forward. Now I don't mean leaning way forward, just don't lay back. Soarin is great either way but when I lean forward I really get absorbed into the experience! It is amazing.

My husband leans forward. He always does. It gives him the tickle tummy feeling and he enjoys it more. I told him that he was gonna fall off of it one day. :rotfl:

Haven't tried leaning forward--will do it next time. What I always do is take off my shoes. I love the feeling of bare feet flying up in the air! Pretty cool also--your shoes are in the exact spot you left them!

You mean, you leave your shoes behind, and get on the ride? I don't think I'd be brave enough to try that! Last summer was our first family trip to DL, and we didn't get to spend much time in DCA. Only dh and dd rode Soarin'. I was watching our sleeping 19 month old ds. I am definitely going this year!

I must agree that Soarin' barefoot is the greatest. I always have my flip-flops on when we go. (and we go often ((Premium)). It is so cool just to feel the air with the soles of your feet that it makes it more real. At least for me... paw:

If you want to ride Soarin' barefoot, you take off your shoes, sandals, etc. when you are sitting in the chair before liftoff!

It is also worth the wait to sit in the middle, row 1. You can request those seats from the CM; you might have to wait but it is worth not seeing other people's (bare!) feet!

I agree about seeing other peoples feet on the ride. It would be worth the wait. I have been on the ride when you don't and then when you do see the feet. I think the ride is really Great but thats one thing I wish they would have done would be to move the other rows apart just another foot (LOL)and then it wouldn't matter where you sit on the ride. ;)

:crazy2: You guys are very brave!

I can tell you that you will not fall out - those seat belts will not unbuckle - it tried to unbuckle mine :guilty: (I was trying to get off of the ride before it started :rotfl: but I think I am in another class of riders then you brave guys!)

I love taking my shoes off too. It feels so good being up there without shoes for some reason LOL.

But leaning forward? Never LOL. I just wrote how I'm scared of heights... the only way I can ride Soarin' is by telling myself I'm safely in a seat and while the sights are cool, my hands are nicely secure to keep my mind calm :p. Leaning forward sounds really scary.

I totally understand how if you are afraid of heights, leaning forward is out of the question! :rotfl: However, for those who think that riding Soaring while laying back is a pleasant experience but would like a little more "tummy tickle"...give it a try! :thumbsup2

I guess Soarin' barefoot will have to happen on my trip in September! :) AP to disney is the reason we go often... usually once a month 'cept for the busy summer :)
