Have you stayed at the SkyDome Hotel?

We're planning to go to Toronto this summer and were excited to find you can stay in your hotel room (connected to the Skydome) and watch a Blue Jays game. However, after looking on the web we're thinking that since you're way out in the outfield that maybe this isn't as cool as it sounds.
Can anybody give me an idea whether we should do this or not? On the one hand I'm sure ds7 would think it was cool, but on the other hand we're thinking he'll get bored since you aren't "in" the park. Know what I mean?

I've stayed there, but not during baseball season (it was just before the season started as I recall).

The rooms (and there's a couple restaurants that overlook the park as well) are in the fairly deep outfield and wouldn't be a particularly good place to watch the game. But it's a nice hotel (most of the rooms don't actually look into the field, BTW -- most of them are above the dome) and it's in a very good location in Toronto, so if you can get a good deal on a room, I'd say go for it.

We stayed there right when it first opened up and I must say those were the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in!!! And the pillows are to die for!! Now this was going back about 12 -13 yrs - but the hotel was incredible then and I would imagine the upkeep has been good!

I have never personally stayed at this hotel but seems very nice and pricey!

The rooms are in the outfield, so bring your binoculars!

And like I said, remember to stay dressed during the games or else you may just end up on the Jumbotron!LOL

There was an incident a few years back when a young couple were, you know, and they ended up in the news!LOL

Have Fun in the Tdot, it's a great City!
