Have you stayed at Gaylord Palms?

DD(8) and I are going to be spending just a night there this weekend. It looks cool!

Anything you can tell me about it? Tips or things to be sure to check out?

I stayed at the Gaylord Palms with my son last year and it was well worth the price. It's close to Disney and away from the traffic, beautiful room and wonderful service. They gave us a room with a balcony overlooking the atrium. The only problem I found at the Gaylord was the food is very high, so if you are on a budget look elsewhere for your meals. The pools were great and the alligators in the atrium were a lot of fun for my son. We had free computer and internet service.
I would love to go back to the Gaylord and I thought the rooms and service were much nicer than the Disney Carribean or Orleans rooms.
Enjoy your stay, we didn't want to leave the resort!

We got a package at Gaylord several years ago during the ICE show that included tickets to the show......we stayed for one night at the Gaylord before we transferred to our DVC onsite. It really is a very nice hotel with lots of amenities.......one thing I didn't like was the fact you had to pay an extra daily fee for parking. I love the atrium areas. However, keep in mind it is a very large convention hotel and you could be unhappy if you happen to be there during a large convention or several conventions for that matter.
