Hi to all,

Besides all the reviews on Trip Advisor, I will like know the experiences of individuals who have stayed at Floridays Resort. All the reviews on Trip Advisor except for a couple were all positive. I just want to make sure that I have chose the right place to stay.

What are your experiences with this resort? Are there any hidden fees? Any recommenadtions on which units or buildings to reserve or avoid will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!:)

Myself, DD9, DD7, DS4 and DS 2mos just got off the plane at 3:30 from a 4 day stay at Floridays!! LOVED IT!! Have stayed at Orange Lake, Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, on Disney property and I think this is my new favorite! We were in building F room 102 (2br/2ba). This is the newest building in the back of the property. Was exactly like the pictures. Checked in and needed a crib and it arrived within 30 min. It was chilly the first day we were there and the heat was on. The next day the unit was too hot and I couldn't figure out how to work their thermostat. Called the front desk and they sent someone immediately. The location is great. Went to Disney and never had to get on I-4. We left the resort and were in the Magic Kingdom parking lot in 8 minutes. Universal is about 15 minutes and Seaworld about 3 minutes. Publix is right next door as well as Walgreens. The pool is heated to 84 degrees and the kids had a great time swimming on a 68 degree day!!! We will be going back for sure.

Oh, there is an 11.00 a day resort fee that includes housekeeping. They made the bed, emptied the trash, mopped the kitchen floor and changed the towels everyday. There are loads of towels at the pool and you can bring your own floats etc. There is a really nice pool bar and resteraunt too. The only disappointment was there is not a slide at the pool but a nice kids area.

Thank you so much Steelebug!:thumbsup2

I really like that area as well.

Besides the $11.00 a day resort fee, are there any other hidden fees? What is the price range of the restaurant and pool bar? Also, if you could think of any other tips about Floridays, then feel free to share.

The prices in the resteraunt were like 8.95 and 9.95. We didn't use the pool bar or get any food but there were lots of people there and taking food back to their rooms. The room service was outragous. Most things family style 40-80.00 a meal. We had 2 rolls of paper towels, dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, Tide, and kleenex. Starbucks coffee and tea. They replenished these each day if needed. Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo and lotion. There is also a sandy beach area by the pool where kids can play.

We booked a trip in August and was wondering about things like papertowels, etc. Thanks for the update! :)

I received better responses on Trip Advisor. Actually, if you just type in Floridays into the Orlando Forum, you will see lots of posts about Floridays. I also was able to connect with a few folks who have visited there on Trip Advisor. A few of them told me that unlike most condos, Floridays give you items like paper towels, small dishsoap, dishwashing cleaner, etc. and bathroom toiletries just like a hotel would. You get the size of an apartment, but some of the amenities that they provide in a hotel. Contact some of the folks on Trip Advisor who have left reviews about Floridays. There are over 600 reviews of Floridays there. I just read the ones from the past 2 years. There are detail pictures of the resort too from other travelers.
