Have you stayed at both POP & POFQ?

If so, which would return to, and why? I have stayed at GF, BWV, Dolphin & Pop, and trying to decide if we should return to POP or try a moderate. I am seeing POFQ seems to be a good choice for our kids ages 1, 2 & 4. Any opinions? We also were very happy with POP, for the money. BTW- we can't afford deluxes anymore:rotfl2:

I've stayed at both. I wouldn't return to Pop. It's just not for me. I like having 2 sinks, the coffee pot, the fridge in the room and a hot tub. POFQ is a very small resort, with a secluded hot tub, and it's own bus stop at MK in the evening.

and the room was fine, clean and quiet, just too Best Western for my taste. We're staying at POFQ this year.

I've stayed at both with my family. We've had no problems with POP and enjoyed every time we stayed there. However, POFQ is a nice small, relaxing resort. The themeing really makes it seem like you're in a small section of New Orleans. I'd choose POFQ.

We stayed at POFQ last summer for a week and loved it. We stayed at Pop in October for a long weekend and loved the theming and food court. However, by the end we were feeling really cramped. For the little bit of extra room, the extra sink, and the fridge, like skipperkim said, POFQ is worth it. Plus, the sea serpent slide would be a huge hit with your children.

Stayed at both and I LOVE both. We are also a family of 5 and I didn't really notice much difference in the room size.

I've stayed at both and POFQ wins. The resort is just nicer, the hot tub and pool are amazing, great transportation, food court is great, nice decor, boat to DTD is good, the rooms are nicer and bigger and the resort is more compact that POP. Our kids loved it too, especially the pool!

I've stayed at both and would prefer POFQ. I just love that resort. It's small and the grounds are nice. However, I also enjoyed POP very much, but would only stay there again if renting a car.

we have stayed at both resorts and while we did enjoy POP very much POFQ is just such a beautiful quiet compact and peaceful resort. POP is definitly a bit more lively resort:banana:

I have stayed in both also and prefer POFQ for the quaintness and size but had no problem with Pop either...Depends on your budget, the amount of time in your room etc..

Even though we can afford to stay at the deluxe resorts, my DW and I consider Pop Century home. I want things to be as lively as possible! I didn't go on vacation to relax! :rotfl:

Ive stayed at both POP and POFQ and if I had to choose it would be POFQ.. The room was bigger, there was a frig, the pools are nicer, it seemed more quieter and the buses were alot better..

We've stayed at both and love them for different reasons. POP is such a happy place it seems to keep you going, full of energy. POFQ is relaxing and laid back. The rooms are so close in size that it's hard to say there is much difference. With children as little as yours, if they are using the sink, you will be picking them up to reach anyway, so having two may not matter. I stayed at POFQ for the first time when DD was 2 and DS was 3. They are now 16 and 17(well, 18 in four days).

Our most recent trips (in the last two months) were to ASMusic (awesome for teenagers!!) and POR. ASMusic has the same feel as POP--a feeling of Disney and excitement. POR is very relaxing, even more than POFQ. Having the river run through the resorts, and right outside our room in Parterre Place, was awesome! We were close to everything and the boat ride was wonderful!! DH says that POR is the best resort at WDW! We've stayed at almost all of them, including the deluxes, so that is a big statement.

No matter where you stay, you will love it!! They all still have the Disney feel, but the values just have a little extra touch of the fun side of Disney.

How big is the pool? ? I think CSR is 123 ft? What about POFQ?

Thanks

Hi
I don't know how big the pool is at POFQ, but CSR has a beautiful pool. The 123 ft. you mentioned is the length of the slide. I know POFQ has a smaller slide. It's supposed to be great for younger children.

We've stayed at both. Our last two visits were to POP and I don't think we will go back there for quite a while. We did not have good bus service either time. We loved POFQ, but it was our first trip and we probably would have loved it anywhere!

Many reasons POFQ is one of our favs.At 4 our daughter loved the slide at the pool.Just the right size for a little thrill without any scary parts.

Also don't forget it's just a little walk down the path along the canal to POR and the activities there.

As mentioned the boat ride Downtown or just to sightsee is great.

The layout of the rooms along the small peaceful streets is the seller for me.Just love checking out the streetsigns.

Pop was fine when we have been there, but POFQFTW.

We have stayed at both - I have had bus issues at both resorts on different trips. POFQ has a charm that is hard to describe. If I could afford to stay the same number of days at either I would choose POFQ. But for spring break the extra time at Disney won out and we are staying at the POP.
