Have you seen these new Keds

Well, I don't bowl, but it occurs to me that what everyone is describing are various forms of oxfords. Saddle oxfords are just that - a form of oxford. And bowling shoes, from what I've googled, are a psuedo oxford. . .

Oxfords have a nice long distinguished history as a dress shoe. They're all I remember my father wearing except on vacation until the mid 1980's. I'm thinking they'll be cute on days I dress down and wear chinos at work, just to mix it up with my boat shoes.

I love these. I can't seem to find them available online but that may be because they'll be out in a few weeks.

They are also available in black.

Very cute. I have a pair of wing tip boots a bit like these, but in my elderly years these would be much more practical than the 3" stilettos.

So where did you get the picture of them if they are not available yet? To me, they look like golf shoes. But I might just have to try some.

They are called Champion Spectators and a bunch of web sites are recommending/reviewing them. I saw them in Simple Living magazine this month. I know they look like bowling shoes but they remind me of my preppy days. Also I am a substitute teacher. I often have to run all over the school in less then five minutes. I need something that looks professional but is comfortable.
