I'm looking for opinions if you've seen the movie. We want to take DD 5 to see it. We live on a farm and raise pigs so I know she'll LOVE it. However, we are debating if we should take DSalmost 3 with us. He also loves animals and the farm, but I don't know if he'll sit through it. We took him to Over the Hedge this summer and he was pretty good, but got fidgety for the last 30-40 minutes. Since this is not an animated movie, we're not sure what to do. I don't want to leave him out if he would like it, but I also don't want to make it a miserable experience for all of us. We don't go to movies very often so this will be kind of a special treat for DD5. Any thoughts? How did your younger children like it?:confused3

I loved it. Cried like a friggin baby at the you-know-what scene. Very sweet film.

We saw it the day after Christmas....I'm still tearing up when I think of it. My kids are older than yours, but there were many kids in the theatre who seemed to be toddler age. The theatre was packed and everyone, and I mean every single person, was spellbound. No talking, no kids crying, just silence and laughter at the funny parts. Its a really good movie, I think unless your son is the really active type, he'll do fine.

We went the on the 23rd and loved it. It is only 98 minutes long, so your little one won't have too long to sit. It is also pretty funny with the talking animals - had some cute more adult humor (I mean humor that kids might not understand) and some kid humor, too.

I cried, too, and DH laughed at me. I couldn't help it. I read the book to the girls earlier in the year, and DD6 cried at the you know where part. Geez, I am tearing up right now just thinking about it.

I told DH after we saw Curious George that I wanted a monkey, now I want a pig.

We saw it. My 2nd grader read the book in school (with the class). They then saw an older version of the movie. She LOVED this movie.

I went to see it Tuesday, with my sister and her DD6 and DS4, both of them sat quietly through the whole movie, and loved it. I did too! And I'm 59!

DH just took DD3.5 to see it on Tuesday. She did great - really enjoyed it with no problems. :thumbsup2

:sad1: We took the nephews (7 and 10) to see it. Very well done. My concern, with a 3 year old might be the previews-there were a couple of scary ones at our theatre.

Our DD is 3 and she loved it....we showed her the old cartoon to introduce her to the characters and that seemed to help!! She has pretended to be Fern all day...and yes...I got to play Wilbur....I love being the Mom!!!
