Have you made an offer on another contract while waiting to hear back from Disney/ROFR?

my 1st contract was submitted a couple of weeks ago to Disney and I can't help but think about putting in offer for another contract (small) lol
Has anyone done this/ had positive and negative experience or any advice you can share? I think most likely at some point we'll add on but just feel like doing it all at once.

ROFR is still pretty rare. I wouldn't do this unless you are ready to buy both contracts. I would not submit an offer you don't plan to go through with. I did submit a couple (failed) offers during ROFR. But I was always hunting to get several contracts.

If you feel like doing more than one now, then do it. No reason you can't buy more than one at a time.

I would for sure be ready to purchase both. The 2nd one would be a much smaller contract. Just curious if this happens often and if there were any risks or people had any positive / negative experience.

The other risk I can think of is that one falls through for whatever reason (sellers/ROFR/incompetent title company) and you are stuck with the other one. That may have locked you into a resort/use year that wasn't your top choice without that failed contract. So, maybe wait until you are locked into a resort/use year.

I just did it this summer. I had a 100 BRV UA waiting for ROFR and a 50 BRV same UY popped up with the same broker (different owners though). I got them both. I personally would not let the threat of ROFR deter you. I just bought our 8th resale without issue. The threat is highly overrated IMO.

We did this. We put an offer on our first ever contract and while it was in rofr we convinced ourselves that it would not pass because it was a good deal and loaded. So we put an offer on a second contract. Yes, they both passed. Lol

I am already thinking of this! I put in an offer on a 100 point Saratoga contract and it was accepted. I would like a smaller 50 point contract at Boulder Ridge, so I'll be on the look out for it I say go for it if you can afford it!

Last year I put in an offer for a Grand Californian contract while a Boardwalk contract was in ROFR. The Boardwalk one was our first ever DVC purchase. Maybe being on different coasts made the two processes easier to compartmentalize, lol. The ball seemed to be in Disney's court forever. I had been searching for small contracts at both resorts for months without luck. Within a couple of weeks I had both. Even though Florida had close to a month head start, when all was said and done both contracts showed up in my DVC account at about the same time.

Yes, actually, I was bad. I just had an offer accepted yesterday and I said I wouldn't look at any more listings for now. Well, I just submitted an offer on another (smaller) contract. They're both SSR so they might both get taken, but now I hope at least one goes through. If I'm able to buy both then I'll have the number of SAP I wanted so not so bad... although, if that happens, then there goes x-mas!

In my defense, the second contract is loaded so I got trigger happy. Now, where do y'all get addonitis medicine?
