Have you just asked for a discount?

This might be a really silly question. But has anyone calling Disney ever just asked them if there were any discounts available that you did not know about and got one. For hotels, tickets or packages?
 
I do all the time. I ask for discounts, free upgrades or just about anything they can give me. All they can do is tell you no. And we have gotten a prefered room at the lower rate several times.

They may or may not have them, however, we've gotten discounts that we were unaware of on more than one occasion.
 
:wave2: Our package at the CR doesn't start until Sept. 12...We were planning on staying offsite on the 11th. My hubby called Disney to ask if we could get a lower rate at the CR (room only) for the 11th and they told him no. $244, which is rack rate. I know he spoke with CRO. Would we have better luck checking with the CR manager directly? Thanks
 

This wasn't for WDW but Disneyland. The CM at the CRO gave me a quote for the Grand Californian. I thought it seemed high and asked if there were any discounts. The CM gave me a much lower price. :)

It doesn't hurt to ask. :sunny: The worst that can happen is the CM saying no.
