Have you guys tried Spam before?

Spam and rice? I slice them and fry them a little bit and eat them with rice. It's good!

Or how about homade chili with rice? Ooooh.. sooo good!

When I lived at home, my mother often made us Spam & rice. She would sprinkle brown sugar on the slices as they were frying in the pan. So yummy!

My grandmother would fry it for breakfast. I likd it if it was cooked tilll cripsy around the edges, otherwise I couldn't/can't stand it.

This is a something my MIL has always made for my girls and they love it but with eggs. They would sometimes call their Lola and let her know they were on their way so she'd have their rice / eggs & meat ready when they got there.

It is also popular in Hawaii, my sister told the girls they have it at McDonald's for breakfast and I've read that Hawaiians consume more Spam than any other place. My girls have also been assured that they'll be able get it in the Philippines if they visit there.

I always thought the SP stood for Spare Parts. SPAM sounds nasty to me but it tastes OK, really. I remember my grandmother saying that they would bake it with brown sugar and a few cloves on top like a little baked ham when they didn't have much $$.

mmm mmm mmm. Fry it up and put it on a sandwich with cheese and ketchup yum. I love Spam, but I don't eat it often because it is "mystery meat". I have a friend who knows I like SPAM so she sent me a spam t-shirt and matchbox truck.
