Another thread on here got me thinking about some home improvements we've had in the back of our minds. We've been talking about it all weekend, and come up with some cool ideas for our house.
I've started looking at HELOCs, because in addition to the things we WANT to do, at some point we will also NEED to redo the septic and furnace. I will talk with our local bank and with our mortgage holder, but the best I've found after a quick web search as far as interest rates and closing costs (no costs as long as they are under $750) is Nationwide. If it turns out that Nationwide is the best deal, has anyone gone with them and found that it was a pain-free process?
