Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

Yeah. I've already called them and told them to get a move on down to their local Publix. Threatened to withhold their new AMEX's that came in today until they did :jumping1: (I handle their mail / correspondence) haha! They are going to go tomorrow and see what's up.
I can help you try to get them an appointment on the website if you want. I’ve looked in the morning and seen availability in Lee county before

Two of my coworkers who got the J&J shot experienced the same side effects as you. Both had to take sick days...that's how bad they felt.

Wow !! Sorry to hear that--- ! I had chills the first night-- but that was the worst of it- The arm soreness I could deal with--- probably because Ive suffered with tendonitis many times, which was REALLY painful !!!

New Mexico checking in. We signed up in January on the state DOH website. Got a text on Feb 10 that appointments were available. Got appts for Feb 13. Not much as far as side effects just sore arms and I had "covid arm". Just had our second shot on the 13th. This time I had chills that night and felt tired the next morning. (Change of time might have something to do with that )
I've been pleasantly surprised how well NM has rolled out the vaccine.

Just as info for Georgia folks.
Finally found Pfizer with a fair amount of availability this week on the Walgreens website. I’m booked for tomorrow for shot one, much quicker than I dreamed of. 😍
jump on it Georgians!

I gave up on Georgia. I'm supposed to be 1B but it seems they've pretty much abandoned the original plan. So I'm going to Alabama where a lot of my coworkers have gone too. Just gotta bring my work ID.

My in-laws who are over 70 just got theirs recently...one in Georgia and the other ended up in Alabama as well.

I ha
Thanks- I've been on every website, too. I often see available, but by the time you get thru it poof! no availability!
I got my Moderna shot last Wednesday.
I went online at 7:10 that Monday and waiting in a Virtual queue until almost 8 and was able to schedule my vaccine at a Publix near me.
Granted I am in the middle of nowhere Florida, but was able to get one 45 minutes from me.
It kept refreshing and showing me which Publix had openings. My daughter, also a teacher, got hers on the same day and waited in a online queue too.

First, sign them up on my vaccine.fl.gov. That will get them on the county site lists. Sign them up for any county they are willing to travel to. You can sign them up for phone calls, texts, or emails, whichever they are most comfortable with. Right now people are getting multiple offers, so the waiting lists are short.

Publix you can only signup online and the sign up resemble the rush for the ROTR boarding passes. At exactly 7am EST Monday, Wednesday and Friday they open, get to the website a few minutes before. The more devices you have trying the better. Monday and Friday are for Moderna, Wednesday is for Johnson and Johnson which there is a lot less of, so better chance Monday and Friday.

Walmart puts their appointments up after midnight. If you are a night owl we’ve found we can usually get appointments that way. Again, that’s online.

Received my first dose of Pfizer this afternoon. My eligibility opened today, and I was able to find an appointment close to home. The shot did hurt a bit, more like a tetanus shot than a flu shot. Fatigue and a low fever set in shortly afterward, but so far I'm thankful that things are going well.
