Beca I remember that tipping post. I was actually pm'd with a very nasty note on how this person had to live through their tips and how someone at a takeout counter has to take time out of waiting on their customers to give me my food so they should receive an appropriate tip for doing that, etc. etc. It was a nasty pm and very judgemental. So now this person is on my ignore list as I wouldn't waste any time reading anything that was written again. It was just plain rude.
Recently I responded to a post that although I love reading their trip reports that it has been more so many months since the trip reports were taken that I have lost interest and don't have the time to go back and reread everything to "catch me up" to where I left off. No harm, no foul. I meant no offense. I wished one of the families well on their next trip and hoped to read their last adventures maybe the next time. Well I went back to edit something and I did feel attacked when posted by more than one person that I was trying to strongarm them into finishing their trip reports, that one person's new job was more important than finishing a trip report, etc. Well I was in no way trying to strongarm anyone and really don't care if a trip report is finished or not but some people beg and beg and beg to have it done. I had liked reading about their trips but my life won't end if I don't know how it ends. The second opinion of someone's new job is more important is just a silly statement. Of course ANYONE'S job, NEW or OLD, is more important than the playing on this board and I even stated in my post that this was all playing and not the real world. I haven't visited that thread since and now have a bad taste in my mouth.
I don't know if I feel so much attacked as some people are too thin skined and need to post a nasty response to a post that just because they disagree with they need to make their point offensive or not to others.
hough. People try to be so politically correct on these and other boards. Any negative post seems to be attacked. I for one will continue to post my honest evaluations of Disney and their properties. We all need to hear the good and bad to temper our expectations. Please do not be afraid to post negative views on here. A little attacking livens things up now and then anyway.
