We are also very lucky because my family does understand our Disney obsession and they are happy to give as gifts things we can use for our trips. :teeth: This year, for example, my in laws gave us money at Christmas. I used it to pay for our stay at the YC this June. My parents bought everyone a 10 day MYW pass for their birthdays. So, (fingers crossed) maybe I'll be lucky enough to get two trips this year!!! :earsgirl:

You are blessed, DixiPixi! Do you mention to the kids when you're at Disney that their tickets...or that the great place to stay (Yacht Club YAY!) was a Christmas present from grandpa and grandma?

:sunny: Yes Ozymoe, we are truly blessed. My children already know how much their grandparents have helped with the trip. :goodvibes You can believe they will be sure to bring all of them back something really nice!!! Since their birthdays are in April and May and we are going in June, it works out really well that they can be given things for the trip. :earsboy: We are so lucky and they know that everyday. Nothing beats having family that cares!!! :love2:

We have quit eating out other than maybe once a month at most...and then it's cheap meals... LOL. We don't spend any one dollar bills or coins, so when we buy something for let's say $6.00, we pay with a $10 and there's $4.00 right there :D We do smoke, which I know if we quit, we would have A LOT more money...but we just aren't ready yet. Anyway, our cigarettes cost us 5.50 per day for a pack for each of us...so there's $4.50 per day that goes into the WDW fund!!! We just counted our bills, and we have over $100 in the past month just from when we buy cigarettes...that would have been part of our eating out money, but we have about $150 in coins as well, so we have a lot in there. Our jar is only about 1/3 full, so I'm guessing in about 3 more months, the jar will be full and we'll have an easy $700-$800...then I'll pay off some more of our vacation package with that :D

We only eat out once a week and make that meal breakfast or lunch to save some dough.

We canceled TV to save some dough. We didn't really watch it anyway.

We limited our grocery trips ot $50 -$60 tops/week.

We limit our driving (easy, since we only have 1 car anyway).

We think about things before we buy them. Like "Hm... I'd really like some ice cream today, but I'd LOVE an ice cream in Disneyworld, so I'd better not get it."

Our entertainment is now video games, movies we already own, and board games with friends.

We drink water instead of expensive crystal light or fruit juices.

We buy non-fat milk once a month instead of once a week.

We shop around for gasoline.

We put off buying new clothes.

We sell things we no longer need/use...

So I guess you could say we definately change our tune when we're saving up for things! :)
