taken your kids to your work? My kids have been to my office (jeesh! I need to keep them away from here;) They rearrange EVERYTHING). There's also 2 large baskets of candy they rummage through. I remember my dad's work had an open house once. I was 8-10 yo. I remember my dad talking me into stuffing my pockets full of Little Debbies. I also remember the bottles of coke cola (bottles, not plastic back then;) ). I remember thinking the place was kinda on the dirty side (he was a boilermaker, it's supposed to be dirty there, I guess;)).

What do your kids think of your work environment?

I do not have children yet but I do take my nieces to work with me when they are off from school and the children at work are off too. They love it here. They play school in the classrooms, I even give them timecards and mailboxes. We page them once in a while for "important Staff" messages. They also love to play in the Gym and the OT room that has lots os swinging equipment. It is a kids paradise:)

I work at my dad's work...so yeah it is fun there. Actually more fun when I am NOT working.
My sister and brother love it too :)

I bring them yes but they drive me crazy!

I try to limit it to weekends and evenings. I don't work those hours but it is good for the overflow...

When my mom had a real, away from home office, I used to love to go there. There was an extra desk for a secretary that only came in occasionally, and I used to sit there and eat candy and play with the stapler. They had a mini-kitchen and I used to love the water cooler. I also remember using the copier to copy my face (I closed my eyes), and for years the copy was on display on the receptionist's bulletin board. I remember also being in the conference room when no meetings were going on, and opening up and trying to read all the books in their law library.

Now my mom works at home, and has a small office she only goes into once a week or so. The fun is all gone now, lol.

Mine are with me every day. I work at home. Oh, wait, you mean *real* kids! Nope, don't have any. Just the pets. They're sort of like kids. In a way. Kinda.... They get in trouble & all, but aren't as "interactive" at times. ;)

I work in an office that is inside a laboratory.

There are chemicals and gas tanks all over this place, so we aren't allowed to have any visitors. It's not safe. (Yeah, so how's come I've been here nearly every day for 10 years and I'm still alive?)

Are you kidding?! My DD loves to visit my workplace! I work in a Hallmark store that has a postal station. I work in the postal station and just off of that area is storage. Guess what we store back there? TY BEANIE BABIES. Yup, as soon as we get there, guess where DD is? She's in the back room playing with the beanies, LOL!:teeth:

My DD likes to sweep when she comes tot he salon. My boss usually pays her a dollar!!

My neice loved going to see her mom and I at work last christmas because we were working at a doll store. She would walk around holding one doll after another. Of course a good portion of my sister's salary went on purchasing dolls. (lol, ok so did mine, my dd loves faries and they had several beautiful faries that cost me a fortune.)

My DD comes to work with me every day. She loves it.

My boss (plumber) has a small family business and I do all his secretarial work.

He has a TV and all kinds of toys in there for kids. His grandson (same age as my daughter) also comes in for a few hours every day.

Great place to work!!!

Melinda

My kids see me work all the time especially if I'm called to sub in their class!! They like having me for a teacher until I give them homework!!! :jester:

Only for very short visits. My boss and co-workers get a real kick out of seeing my son because they remember when I was pregnant with him (he's now 4 years old going on 25!)

My daughter has been to the last two Bring Your Daughter to Work days. My job goes all out on those days. We serve the girls breakfast, lunch and a snack and they receive goody bags and a certificate at the end of the day. Between all of this, they "work."

My kids go to school where I teach, so I hope they like my workplace! They like it best when I come in to see them at lunch and give them ice cream money;)
