I've never worn anything lime green.

DH spotted someone in the GF with a ribbon attached to their bag, so I said hello! :D

I voted "yes" - but I wasn't spotted, nor did I spot anyone else. It was a Mickey paint chip (alien green, I think) that I made into a luggae tag - I made quite a few!

I tied my Mickey Heads onto my Grdaughters stroller with lime green ribbon. One of Jillpie's adorable sons spotted it as we were getting off the bus and walking up to MK - it was fun to meet a fellow DISer - they were the nicest family !!! And my kids were stunned to find out that what they call "Mom's Disney friends" (as they roll their eyes! ) are real and (semi-)normal;) people !

We also met pathubia and her family at the cabanas at HRH - I read her post about having the same cabana I had reserved for the same day I had reserved it !! I called HRH and found out that they never carried over any of our reservations when they started their new book for the year - luckily I was able to reserve the next one over - she saved me from being 'cabana-less' :( that trip !!

This trip I have my big lime green DIS button/pin to put on my fannypack - if you see it and have a minute - say hi!
:smooth:

Yes, I wear a lime green ribbon on my waist pouch. Donna from Dreams Unlimited spotted it and said hello one day at Epcot. We had a nice conversation. DH was amazed I actually met a Diser.

Yup... I worn a lime green Mickey Head (from HD) on my backpack and fanny pack on our trip in Jan... I wasn't "spotted' but I did spot another DISer in AK on our first day! I saw lime green ribbon on someone and just HAD to ask if she was a Diser..... SHE WAS!! (meanwhile DH and Dkids think I am LOONEY to be talking to strangers about green ribbon!)................P

Yeah - for the last 3 trips, but I've never been spotted, not have I spotted anyone else. :( Maybe when we're there in about 2 weeks I'll see someone. :)

I tied a bundle of lime green curling ribbon on the handle of our stroller but we were never stopped not did I spot anyone.

We always have mutliple lime green ribbons on our backpack. Also, usually on our luggage at MCO too. Anyhow, never been spotted, nor have we seen anyone. I do have to admit that when I see folks decked out in lime green tops or whole outfits at WDW I want to ask if they are from the DIS-- but I don't get up enough nerve. Now, if it were just a ribbon, I'd definetly ask.

Melsmice, We are going to the parks a few days after our cruise. I will look for you. :) I plan to have a lime green ribbon on my backpack. I may even go to Home Depot and get the alien green Mickey head.
How big are they?

We'll look too! The Mickey heads are not big. They are actually on a paint sample card. Hope we can catch up in a few weeks! :D

We'll be there too. Got my mickey heads and will probably attach them to our fanny packs.

This will be my first year using lime green. I am getting my daughter some green hair pieces, and we have 2 lime green mickey heads. And I think I will get some ribbon too! :bounce: :bounce:

I have a lime green DIS lanyard. I wore it last trip & plan to next trip. Wasn't noticed last trip.

I have my Mickey heads attached to my fanny pack and my DIS water-proof wallet/pocket thingie that I have at the pools. I did see another one of the lime green water thingies at BWV in August but never saw who it belonged to. I've never seen anyone else with DIS lime green anywhere. And I've never been spotted either. Well, unless you count Karen aka TLinden spotting me at the MCO on one trip!!!

Unfortunately to spot and be spotted, one must wear something large enough to be really noticable at a distance. If you only have a small mickey head on, most people won't notice that unless they are right next to you in line, or sitting near you at a restaurant or bus or something. Most of the time at WDW you are not up close with people--except in lines. Walking around it is hard to spot Dis-ers unless they are wearing something large that really screams DIS.

I have spotted and been spotted, lol, but it always involves something large. One Dis-er I met wore a large loopy curly green ribbon hanging on her lanyard (not the little curly ribbons). I spotted her walking twenty yards away. Last trip I spotted a woman wearing one of the Dis fanny packs--the whole thing is lime green and says "THE DIS" on it in four inch high letters. Others I have seen wore big lime green pins that said THE DIS.

Lots of "regular" guest wear lime green shirts (just easy for a family to spot each other in, I guess) and there are a ton of lime green lanyards out there. (only one that says THE DIS on it though--but those are hard to see unless you are right up near someone). I also saw a ton of those lime green waterproof passholder things, but they were for some company I hadn't heard of that I think was having a convention nearby that week.

If you want to be seen--make it really noticeable. My problem is, I always forget to wear my pins/ribbons when I leave the room each morning. LOL!

Last year in December, we had made several zipper pulls, and lanyard cards from the Home Depot lime green Mickey head paint chip cards. I took Disney character and park related stickers to cover the writing on the cards and then took 2 cards and glued them together back to back. I then took them to Kinkos and laminated the cards. I then cut them out of the plastic and punched a hole in them. I bought some inexpensive key chain rings and attached the cards to the rings. The rings were then attached to the zipper pulls on our backpack, luggage, and video camera bags. We attached the other cards to our lanyards....for these cards, I also had glued in a small image of my pin trader icon.

I spotted some other Dis'ers through the trip. I plan on using the cards again when we go next year. Maggie

I've got my Mickey heads ready to go as of this morning. I made one for a tag for my backpack and one as a pin I can wear. I traced out a circle (used a large tuna can) on cardboard and computer paper, and glued them together. I put on a Mickey head on either side then I decorated with Eeyore (who is my avatar);), and some stickers from some Disney stickers I found at Target the other day.
I then did the same for a pin to wear, but traced out the rounded rectangular shape the Mickey heads came on, and then decorated the pin similar to the tag. Then I laminated both.

Of course I have at least one lime green top I'll be wearing, so maybe that will catch someone's eye on the trip too.;)
