Have you ever witnessed someone go from a clear thinking individual to what another member (I believe VW Guy) coined as a Certifiable Disneyphile?
I saw this first hand this past weekend.
DW, DS, and I made an impromtu trip for 1 night to the Poly. We asked our close friends if they would like to go (My friends screen name is Peanuts816). They have a daughter about the same age as our son, so we thought it would be relaxing. They had never stayed on property before. Anyway, they were in for the trip, and we got adjoining room in the Somoa building. This was my first time at Poly, and I was excited.
Anyway, without going into too much detail here's what we did: Check in, lunch at Beaches and Cream, walk to Epcot and tool around, back to Poly for a swim, then dinner at 'Ohana (this was awesome by the way
, and we were able to see Wishes during dinner).
Next morning: breakfast at Kona (again, awesome), MGM for a few hours, and then home.
Now, I have to admit I have been enabling my friend for the past month or so by showing her this website
, allearsnet, mousesavers, etc. Her transformation came during Wishes. I mentioned the music playing was choreographed to the fireworks. She looked at her husband, then me and said, "Disney is just the most special place in the world!"
The next morning she and her husband upgraded their 3-day pass to AP. It was hilarious. I feel partly responsible, but DW and I are very happy to have such good friends who feel the same about Disney as we do.
So, let me be the first to officially welcome Peanuts816 to our friendly little cult
.......... and pass the kool-aid please.
