Have you ever used those "space saver storage bags?"

My parents gave me one the other day so I thought I would store some extra pillows and the winter blankets. Got them all packed up, vacuumed out the air and pushed the package under my bed since I couldn't think of where else to put it. Big mistake. It hit the bedframe and ripped the bag. No more bag. It' just been one of those days today!!

That would be my luck, too. Once I had it all squeezed under the bed, I'd probably just leave it there- tear or no tear. Hey, at least you got it under there. (I try to look for a bright side of things. )

This reminded me of a story Harry Connick Jr. told on Jay Leno....he loves to by things from t.v. and said he had to have this gizmo. He traveled somewhere and had packed a ton of the space saver bags and vacummed the air. everything nice and compact. It wasn't until he was repacking to return home and did not have the space saver machine did he realize just how much stuff he had! I was cracking up as that sounded like something I WOULD DO. tHAT AND THE FACT THAT i JUST THINK HE'S THE COOLEST GUY...LOVE HIS MUSIC! He ain't too shabby to watch on Will 7 Grace either!

I've always wondered about that..they say on their TV ads that they are great for vacation and travel and i always thought that the hotel rooms I stay in have hair dryers but not a vacuum...you would have to buy another suitcase to get your uncompressed stuff back in once you opened them !!!
