We've all traded with all sorts of CM's from Custodial staff to Monorail Pilots, but has anyone one here ever trade with a high ranking manager (AKA Disney Suit)? If you did what did you trade for and was there an interesting story behind the trade.

When I was in Florida for our 30th anniversary I was able to trade with a nice Gentlemen walking thru the Wilderness Lodge.

He was actually the new manager from Port Orleans I believe and he was coming to meet with the manager of Wilderness. He said they were both kind of new and like to brain storm together.

I was able to get some great cast pins from him. One was a Disney University Pin and the other was a Hercules Pin of some sort that was also a Cast pin.

I enjoyed the trade, but enjoyed the interaction even more. He was such a nice guy.

During the press event last year I was able to get a Fast Pass and a Disney Cruise Line Cast pin from a Gentlemen in MGM Studios. Two minutes later I saw the same guy with the same two pins on again - he must have had a pocket full of them.

Have traded with a restraurant manager at VWL, have also stopped some suits walking through the parks to trade, they did not have anything better than anyone else.

I have traded with a couple really nice important people.

Phil Holmes - VP of The Magic Kingdom
I traded for 2 CM lanyard pins from him and we had a really nice conversation that lasted about half an hour.

Wayne Allen - the voice of Mickey Mouse himself
I don't remember what we traded for but I had a great time hanging out with him and his wife Russi Taylor (Minnie Mouse) for quite awhile on seperate occasions.

I tend to seek them out because they tend to have sweet lanyard pins.

I guess I have the bad luck following me when it comes to "Suit" trades. I have never found anything that I needed on them, but have seen some good pins. I try to pass them up if I already have them so someone else can try for them.
My one great "suit" experience was during the 2001 August event. I was in the big tent checking out 3 manager's layards. One of them, a new father saw the Father's day 2001 pin on my lanyard and cmmented that he loved it but had to work that day and didn't get one.
So I took it off my lanyard and gave it to him. He then reached into his pocket and gave me the 2001 CTT. He made a big production with his other management friends, about how this was what pin trading is about... I was so thrilled. I think that was my first pin cry. Peggie

Hey many times I have been able to trade with Michael Eisner, no not pins, but my money for his pocket!
:p :p :p

I have traded with a few of the ear piece people! ;) Not suits -- kaikis and polo shirts with the secret service type wire hanging from their ear! :jester:
Have made some good trades.
My most memorable was from a chef who had just left ABC commissary. He had the PIXIE license plate pin! :bounce: And it's the only one I saw. So that was a memorable, magical moment. :smooth:

We were in the Animal Kingdom and got word from a trader at the pin cart that there were suits in the park with the "Fast Pass" pin in their pockets. Well, we looked and looked but we finally found one. Milton got the fast pass pin.
On another occasion, we were staying at the Caribbean Beach Hotel and two young women in suits were walking towards us, I saw something shiny and silver, I exclaimed "lanyard" and DH was surprised that they each had a silver Hand In hand pin. This was the original pin given to cm's to start the park pin trading 3 years ago. This was way before they went on sale... to CM's....

Last summer at MK. There was a medical emergency finishing up and there was a lady in a "suit" and we started to chat and she had a cool Topsy Turvey Hunchback pin on her lanyard. I bought a pin to make the trade. When I came back, she covered up the bottom part of her lanyard & asked if I wanted to make a mystery trade? I passed! I was happy enough to get a pin I'd never seen!

A year ago we stumbled upon the Grand Opening of Chester & Hester's in AK. Many suits were there, as were local radio, TV and newspapers. I went lanyard trawling and found 2 C & H Grand Opening pins (LE 1000) in about 3 minutes. I also got a Pluto USA lanyard pin from a suit in Feb.
