I mean this in a nice way, I think! :rotfl2: I mean somebody that you know LOVES a ride and rides it all the time. Even the castmembers seem to know the person?

Well, when I was at DAK last month, My friend and I were in the fastpass line to EE. This guy in the single line had, yeti claws, EE shirt, hat, medallion, and he was FIRED UP. He was not a young guy but he was intense.

He was talking to the castmembers like he knew them and he was yelling and holding his "yeti claws" into the air. It was a great experience just watching him. After his train took off. Somebody asked the lady running the ride if he comes a lot. They said he's there every weekend since it was open.

I'm not making fun of the guy, just to be clear. Has anybody else ran into this ride's biggest fan or another ride's?

My son is a ride junkie

he LOVES Big thunder mount. it was not busy when we went, he stayed on 5 times in a row - each time they high 5'ed him and said "hiya sean" so they all knew him for that time lol

then he must of went on no less then 40 times the rest of the trip

I think I saw him when we were there earlier this month! I definitely saw a guy, maybe not the guy, claws and all, in the single rider line who was very enthusiastic about the experience.

As an aside, I would love a pair of those Yeti mitts; I have visions of grocery shopping and running errands wearing them. Those tasks wouldn't be nearly so boring with Yeti hands.

My DGf seems like she's already turning into a ride Junkie. It's not the type of ride you would imagine though. It's the TTA!! She honestly wanted to go on this every time we were in the area. Even if we were in Adventureland and we had 20 minutes until we had to be at our ADR's, she said "We have time for the TTA!" If there were TTA merch, she'd be first in line!

i also forgot to add that he wears a winter sock cap too. haha

No, we didn't have the claws on but we were EE junkies. Went on May 11th (our first full day at Disney) and rode it 3 times. Then went back the following week on a EMH morning and rode it 8 times (thanks to Carlos the CM operating the front of the train) Every time we got to the front of the line he shouted "Here's my English Princesses", he also gave us 3 lots of fastpasses so that we could, in his words, "stop sitting in the front rows", and ride it from somewhere else. We also tried to think of "original" things to do for the photo - we eventually settled on buying the one where we look as though we were fast asleep!!!! :rotfl2: We didn't do any other rides that morning and were back at CSR for 12 noon!!!

When I was at MK 2 Sundays ago, I rode Splash Mtn 6 times in a row looking for one of those junkies. Didn't see any. I'll be back there in 3 weeks. Plan to ride during the EMH as much as possible - always looking for a junkie!
P.S. JRawkSteady - I HAVE to go on TTA EVERY time I am at MK. My kids make fun of me and think that's my favorite ride. (It's #2).

My name is Trisha and I am a ride junkie. The last time I was in MK, I rode Buzz 10 times (broken up only by 2 rides on the carousel of progress, 4 on the TTA, 1 on Stitch, 1 on Small World and lunch).

My mother stated the next day that she would be willing to go anywhere but Tomorrowland because the cast members had started to recognize her (after 3 times on buzz she said she'd had enough and for some strange reason doesn't like the TTA).

Before you think I am horrible for leaving my mom, she did have an ECV and about 20 pins for trading and her tigger ears, not to mention snack credits to use to her heart's content!

Funny you should ask!! I am a ride junkie in that I love pretty much all rides, and there aren't any I won't try. For me, it's all about the rides. That's why I'm the Ride Junkie! :drive:

unfortunately yes. and it ruined it for me. Tower of Terror, looking forward to the ride for 7 years...it had opened right after my previous trip. We wait in line and finally get into the first room. there were two boys, i would say 10ish, in there. not sure who they were with (if anyone) and they recited the entire script. the movie, what the cm's say , and they were a second ahead of it all just so everyone would know that they knew it. ruined actually. i could only hear them! :O( room was packed couildn't move away. a few people were shusshing them, but they just got louder. :O( needless to say we let them go out ahead of us and we doddled behind to make sure the ride ruiners weren't going to be in my elevator. LOL

I've run into several people like that at the Haunted Mansion. It definitely ruins the experience for anyone next to them. Let the people hear the original voice with the original sounds effects. Let them enjoy the attraction as it is meant to be enjoyed. In fact, at WDW specially, a lot of the people are experiencing the rides for their first time ever, and in some cases, their only time ever. OK, I'm impressed, you've been in this ride 100 times, so have I, but unlike you, I have no need or reason to let everyone else know.

I have posted this previosly in the KING of the Haunted Mansion thread, but it seems at home here too.

On my last trip to the world in August last year, I met a cast member in the Haunted Mansion line. He would take off his CM uniform and ride HM on his lunch hour and on breaks. He would come in on his days off to ride HM. He would wait in line like everyone else (no cuttsies). He had a notebook with him to document every ride, the HM CM would initial next to every ride. He was trying to ride the HM 999 times before Halloween. I wonder if he made his goal.

I'm thinking this guy def qualifies as a ride junkie.

My DD would also qualify. We had 5 people in our group we all got fastpasses for Peter Pan three times in one day. So my DD was able to go on PPF over 15 times in one day! If she could have she would have gone more!

Ok...this is not a Ride Junkie...but rather a Park Junkie...tell me if you have seen this man:

Jan. 1st, 2006...waiting at the front of MK under the railroad for the signal to go into the park. I am waiting w/ my Dad and I look and there is an older gentlemen w/ his park gear on, and a hat full of pins. He looks like he is ready to go! Well the signal was given, and I raced to be the first on the other side.

March 14th, 2006...waiting to ride Alladin's Magic Carpets...see the same older gentlemen with the hat covered in pins.

May 13th, 2006...at Blue Bayou/ Dixie Landing in Baton Rouge, LA and talking to a friend of my sister who claimed she has seen the exact same man during her Dec. 2005 trip.

Has anyone else seen this man???

i am a ride junkie. i tend to say the lines from each ride. when i was down there in may i went on the great movie ride and was so excited we where behind the driver. my bf never rode the ride so i did not say anything to him but as we where go i kept point to where he should video tape. sometimes my family yells at me when i am saying the lines to the rides but its the fun of it.

I see a ride junkie everytime I look in the mirror.

While in Disneyland last January I rode Splash Mountain about 15 times over the course of two days. After about my 8th time the cast members standing there would greet me with something like "Back again?" or "One more, huh?"

DH and his buddies are Test Track fanatics! They all build and race cars in their spare time, I mean the fastest the TT goes is waht, 65mph? Their cars do double that!

One year all of us (about 12) were on the ride when it broke down, they gave us free passes to come back to the ride later that day. Well we went back around 5:30 or so, gave our guys our passes and said "We will be sitting in Mexico drinking margheritas!" They went on the ride over and over again until 7! It was mid November and the parks were super slow!
Glad they had a good time but man, I could never go on it that much!

:teeth: Wouldn't it be funny if the older gentleman with the hat full of pins and the EE guy with the claws were members of this board. But, then again if they get to go to disney that often they don't need a disney fix here on the boards.
