I guess I haven't been eating too well the past few days..DH brought it to my attention at dinner last night. He'd noticed he hadn't seen me eating and told me I needed to eat a slice of pizza for dinner, but I wasn't hungry. I don't know why but in the past three days I have only eaten that 1 slice of pizza and 2 bowls of cereal (on Fri). I completely forgot to eat anything on Saturday. I know ya'll are asking, "how the heck do you forget to eat?!" Well, I just haven't been hungry at all so it completely slipped my mind. I have had the flu though so maybe that is the reason. I am forcing myself to eat lunch right now, but it is almost making me nauseous to do it. Is this normal?

I've had this before when I was sick. I also get like that when I'm depressed/stressed. You haven't snacked or anything though? I would usually eat something small. (bowl of cereal or something)

That happens to me whenever I'm sick. Usually the fact that I lose my appetite signals that I'm getting sick. It also happens to me whenever my allergies are completely out of control, or when it's wicked hot and humid. Needless to say, I've had very little appetite since, ohhhh, April.

Nope, no snacking or anything. Fri morning I had two bowls of Golden Grahams, then nothing Saturday, and a slice of pizza last night (only because DH said something or I wouldn't have eaten). I am eating a sandwich now, but it's all I can do to choke it down. Normally I eat lunch/dinner and a snack during the day (I am not a b'fast person).

This happens to me a lot--I seem to go in phases. Sometimes I can't get enough to eat and others when I don't want to eat at all. I've got low blood sugar, though, so I have to force myself to eat even though I'm not hungry (in fact, when I'm REALLY not hungry, it's a big sign that my blood sugar is too low--the thought of food just nauseates me.)

It's probably from being ill but if it continues, you should probably make a dr's appt.

maybe your pregnant??

I ususally don't get an appetite at all during the early months of pregnancy.

Also, I have no appetite when I'm stressed out or depressed or angry about something. (for me it's good, cuz I'd like to lose a few more pounds).

Yep when I get sick it happens. I usually drink ensure or something like that to keep me going.

No. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm always hungry.

Obviously.

But really, if this is abnormal for you and it continues, maybe you should see your doctor.

Hush your mouth!! :scared1: No way on that thank the lord. I guess it is just the illness, it just struck me as weird since I haven't wanted to eat at all.

tee hee...i thought the same thing! lol

I get that way too...especially when I'm sick. I was down with a nasty migraine weekend before last and just had zero appetite. I finally forced myself to eat some soup to try and help the migraine go away...

I've been feeling similar lately. But a little differently...I feel hungry, but I don't want to eat. And when I do eat, I get nauseous. I'm definitely not pregnant (although I did have a scare last week, but I won't get into that. ;) ). I ended up getting a bad head cold this weekend, so I think I was just getting sick. Maybe you're coming down with something?

I've never had much of an appetite and can go for days and days without eating.. Other times I'll hit a streak where I can't stop eating all day long - although that's quite rare..

Considering this isn't the "norm" for you though you might want to check with your doctor.. Also, if food is making you feel sick to your stomach, go out and buy some Boost and give that a try - just to tide you over.. The vanilla is delicious (tastes like French vanilla) and the chocolate is pretty yummy too.. You can get the regular - high protein - or "plus".. It really does taste good and has lots of vitamins and such.. :) I would drink it by the gallon if it wasn't so expensive.. :flower:
