Have you ever had to remove someone from your trip? MDE, dining reservations, tickets? Can everything be changed with a phone call?

Thanks!

You really don't need to change your dining reservation, because you would have to cancel and rebook, which means its possible you won't get the same time you had originally.

Yeah, I really don't like that they've changed their system like this. If you want to delete one from a dining reservation, it shouldn't be a problem and cause people to lose their reservation.

I thought you could modify reservations online now? I saw the option on MDE but haven't tried it. We have removed a person from dining reservations many times. My MIL often comes with us but we don't always know what dates so we put her on every ADR then remove her from those she won't be coming to by calling and having them take her off the ADR. In some cases it may not matter (going from a table of 4 to a table of 3 will likely still be at a 4 top) but in other cases it may change the size table you are given so I always call and change.

I'm sure you can make all the other changes with a phone call but they likely have to change each thing separately so it may take some time.

I just added my son to our reservation. I had a change reservation button, but for the guest section it gave me the phone number to call to make changes.

For your ADRs I would leave them alone and say that you have one who didn't show, that way you won't have to rebook anything.

I had to remove someone from my trip this May back in mid March. I had a Magic Your Way Package so I had 30 days out to change with no penalty. I could not remove a guest online for some reason (I could change dates, room, add dining, etc). I called, and the CM was able to remove the guest. My nightly rate decreased and since it was a MYW package, it automatically removed the guest's ticket. I had actually overpaid at this point, and the CM credited me on the card I used for the deposit.

Removing the guest from the reservation did not simply remove him from MDE. The profile created either by you, or that you linked to will still remain. You cannot delete the profile even if you manage it unless you remove all reservations, attractions like a scheduled show time that is not an actual reservation, or even wishes. It may seem like there is nothing left with the guest on your itinerary if you view it under his/her personal information since it will display 0, but some things like shows may remain. You can filter it at the top right of your itinerary day by day or overall under reservations and tickets where you see "family list" to display specific guest plans.

As previously mentioned, you can keep dining reservations since you are decreasing and will not be hit by a penalty. If you do however want the correct number on your reservation, I had no luck with the MDE website. I would have to cancel and re-book, or take what was currently open. However, for me it seemed that if I "modified" the reservation with my iPhone app, I could decrease the current reservation without losing my time or having to cancel and take what was currently open. Pre-paid reservations may require a call to WDW-DINE.

Once all was said and done, I was able to remove the profile from MDE. However, the Walt Disney Travel Company e-mails continued to display the removed guest's information with "CXLD" next to his name. This did not cause me any issues with my MagicBands, Magical Express, or check-in. I just assumed it meant cancelled and disregarded it.

If you have a room only reservation and a transferable ticket, I am sure it will be a little different.

Hope this helps!
