Have you ever had someone tell you that you look like a celebrity?

I was wondering how many of you had someone tell you this. Apparently, a TON of people think that I resemble Kelly McGillis. In fact, there was a movie box cover with her picture on it that *did* look exactly like me. When I worked at Suncoast Motion Picture Company, they put the box on the counter and you wouldn't BELIEVE how many people thought that was me in the movie.

Today, my bf's grandmother asked me if anyone ever told me I looked like Kelly McGillis

So, what about you?

Yes. A friend insists that I look and have the mannerisms of Penelope Cruz. Um... OK... He's so off the mark.

As I said in another thread, I look more like Kobe Bryant than Penelope Cruz.

I used to get Elisabeth Shue from Adventures in Babysitting when that movie came out. I used to work at a video store and everyone that returned that movie said the same thing "Did anyone ever tell you....."

When I was a very young girl...10-12...my teachers went on and on about how much I looked like Haley Mills as Pollyanna.

I was mortified

I don't think I resemble her at all now

My son just tripped over his feet telling his friend's mom that she looked exactly like Kathy Bates!! The woman is only 27 so I don't think that was much of a compliment!

I have a great uncle who says I look like Brooke Shields. I do have dark eyes and dark hair, and I'm really tall, but that's all she and I have in common. lol

I think she would be,too! When she was in 227 I used to act and dress like her character, Saaaaaandra, so much I thought I WAS her!

Robin I am dying of laughter over Michael telling the 27 year old she looks like Kathy Bates. Kids - gotta love their honesty.

I've been told all sorts of weird people from Sharon Stone to Jamie Lee Curtis to that blonde Sex in the City chick to Daryl Hannah to Kelly Preston. IMO, the only one I resemble even slightly is Kelly Preston. Maybe I should ask Michael which one I look like and cross my fingers he doesn't tell me I look like some woman 25 years my senior. He'll give it to me straight up though, won't he Cousin Robin?

Its weird, but you remind me SO much of a friend of mine - you look like twins. Even your husbands look similar. When you first posted the pic in your siggie I had to do a double take! They say everyone has a twin out there, I definately know where yours is.

i had a lot of people tell me i resemble Sean Connery...and that wasn't the only time i was told that....

back in the 80's I had the same haircut and perm as Kelly McGillis in Top Gun and I used to get told that I looked like her a lot
I was younger than her at the time but she was pretty hot looking in that movie so I took that as an extreme compliment.
Haven't been told I look like anyone lately

me too! and I also have been told I llok that cindy crawford I think only because I have an identical mole. My nephew used to say mine name when he would see Rachel on friends (probably because I always have her haircut. Needless to say unfortunately I don't look like any of them.

I've been told that I look like Jamie Lee Curtis by a bunch of people, that's when my hair was short, now it's more shoulder length - I don't get it as much.

Dh has been told that he looks like Freddie Couples.
