Have you ever gotten a better package deal using Disney Visa?

I signed up for a Disney Visa at a kiosk in DD on our last trip. They were giving away a free pin...LOL We've never used it, but I read somewhere on the boards that you can sometimes get a deal if you put your vacation package on the Dis Visa. We aren't going until Oct 15-23, which is regular seaon.. Wondering how often such offers are made, and if they are only in Value Season?

Package discounts are offered. But as far as being "better", I have yet to see one that wasn't better than the AP rate for room-only or didn't mirror a package that was made available to the general public a few days later. The advantage would be the 6 months at 0% interest for anyone booking a package with the Disney VISA.

Actually Last year we did the "Kids play and stay for Free" but the funny thing was, that while it was advertized as a DV promotion, actually booking it on any Visa got us the discount!!! So my answer is no...because I booked it on my regualr visa account :flower1:

I think it was in March of last year that if you signed up for a Disney Visa that month you were able to be to book a package which was pay for 4 nights and stay for 7 nights which included hotel and tickets. A great deal!!! Five of us (plus an infant) were able to stay at the Polynesian Concierge Lagoon View for about $3200. I would LOVE to see a deal like that again! You definitely needed the DISNEY Visa since they were checking eligibility.

This past December I got the Fall Dream Maker for the same cost whether or not I used my Dis Visa. But by using my DV, I got $25 Disney dollars when we checked in. Also get to take advantage of the 0% interest.

Got Disney Visa last year for Trip in Feb/March 2004 (peak season) 2 adults/ 2 kids --6 days 7 nights at ASMo. All had UPH tickets. UPH tickets for kids were "free". Total was around $1300.00. Received 100 Disney dollars at check-in.
This was our first time at Disney and I had not researched various other options. I thought it was a good deal.. UPH for the kids would have benn appr. $ 550.00

You have to watch the 0% on the trips though. Fine print reads that any money paid each month will go to balance with lowest interest rate first, so if you have balance that contains more than your Disney Vacation, the money will go towards paying that trip off first while the remainder of your balance will accure more interest. Would work well if the only item charged on the Disney Visa was the Disney trip..

Soon to be celebrating Mardi Gras (feb. 8, 2005) first time at WL

Forgot to add that this was a promotional offer from Disney Visa. Had several "rules" that needed to be followed. Wasn't hard. I have not seen such an offer since then.
