Have you ever found anything "on sale" at ship's shops?

I love to browse at the different shops on board, but, yikes, expensive! Has anyone ever found something marked down, or does Disney ever discount anything?

We bought the ship's replica and had Captain Henry sign it, plus Mickey, Minnie and Goofy dressed up in their nautical garb. We love it, and everytime we see it, reminds us of the great time we had. Looking back, I wish we would have gotten sweatshirts, or clothing with the DCL logo on it, but TOO expensive. Maybe they go on sale seasonally? Anyone had any luck with that?

On our cruise on the Wonder in July, there were some shirts and Christmas items marked down in Mickey's Mates, but the selection was very limited. We also found a very good deal on a DCL souvenir before the cruise at the Character Premiere store in Orlando, but you can never know what you might find.

Yes, I found a "Sale" table with a few things on it, also I bought t-shirts for the kids on sale.
The "nicer" store had sale items too. I bought DH a very nice watch on sale.

We have found Sale items in the stores on the 2 7 day cruises but not on the 3 day. Hats, shirts and other nice souvineirs.

On our first cruise in May of 2000 I found a Disney Magic watch that was on sale by the end of the cruise. I'm so glad I bought it, because I haven't seen any watches exclusive to the Magic since then. I would like more ship specific items, but have a hard time finding that. On our 4th cruise we found a really nice long sleeve shirt with the DCL logo on it for about half price. I've seen other holiday items on sale also before.

My husband loves Tommy Bahama shirts and they usually retail at $90 and above. We always go w/ my mom to the base and get them at the BX because they are reduced to $69 each. (Needless to say he only had 2 before the cruise). Anyway he found one he loved on sale on the ship for 1/2 off--$48!! That's a huge discount for those shirts. Never thought that the cheapest place we bought one would be associated w/ Disney!!

We always see things marked down on the 7 day cruises and....even on the 3 day Wonder they had beautifal adult bathing suits marked down to about $25.00.

WE have found sale things on all 4 of our cruises: christmas items, sweatshirts, t-shirts, watches, mugs, and even bathing suits, as well as other assorted small souvies. Sometimes the table is located at the shops entrance and sometimes you have to look around for it. Well worth the look.

I have found (and boughten) items for sale on the 7, 3 and 4 day cruise. Bought DD a t-shirt, Sweatpant outfit, myself a nice shirt all at nice prices.

YES!

On our 7 day Western last year we found kid's lined (flannel) windbreakers on sale for $24.98 (50% off). We were getting ready to move from TX to OK and the kids need jackets. They were adorable and we ended up buying one for our next door neighbor (DS's best friend) too.

DD will be able to wear DS's when she outgrows hers, but they should both fit this fall too. It was an excellent deal!

On the Wonder, last year I got a glow in the dark sweatshirt for $10. This was a great deal because I'm sure you all know how much they can cost.

This year on the Wonder, my sister found two grey hooded disney jackets for $15 each. I think they were 50% off at the time. These were very nice.

Our ship's replica was an 'on-sale' item & a few of the mugs that we bought @ the same time were, also. I know there were other items that were on sale that we didn't buy, too.

I thought I searched the ship's stores top to bottom, front to back, but must have missed a sale table! We did however shop at both Disney outlets. If you can spend an hour or two digging for treasures, it is worth your while!!!! Check out:
