I did today. I got a perm. It looks great! However, the reason I said I would never get another one was my hair is bone straight. After a while, my hair grows out and it looks stupid.... straight on top and curly on bottom (i have long hair). Anyway, I just got tired of looking at my drab, limp straight hair and had to do something about it, because curling it with an iron just doesn't hold more than 30 minutes. Sure I will regret what I have done in about 6 months. Oh well  I look great now!

Thats exactly what I did too, I spent over a year groing out the curls, then after I had my first baby, I guess the hormones must have overcome my common sense, and BOOM,got another perm. I looked EXACTLY like I did before and remembered why I had grown it out!!

Oh well, I am 3 years perm free, and taking it one day at a time:teeth:

Wow! You permed that beautiful hair? I'm sure it looks great. :teeth: Loose curls? Wavy?

If you don't have to regret what you did for 6 whole months, you have got it made !!!!

:confused3 I don't know what possessed me, but I did it! Maybe because hubby coming home makes me want change. I ALWAYS do something crazy to my hair when he comes back.....cut it short last time and time before I dyed it blond........imagine ME with blond hair. I sent an old Disney picture (2001) of me and my brother to my mother via e-mail a few months ago along with an identical picture of us on the same ride, same pose only the year was 1981. Mom asked me who the girl was in the more recent picture  Yep, I guess I go for drastic change. My perm has loose curl. :scratchin You think he will recognize me at the airport. He left me back in Jan when I was still wearing glasses. Now no glasses or straight hair. :teeth:

Riding Deja Vu at Six Flags Atlanta! :crazy2:

I swore for a couple of years that I would never get on the computer and talk to a bunch of strangers.

I always swear to myself (and poor DH) that I will never again eat a peanut butter cup as he drives me to the hospital. I am allergic to peanut butter, but sometimes I can't help myself. I have only done this five times in the past eight years so I have some control, just not alot. Do you know how hard it is to never eat reese's cups when they taste sooo good! :(

::yes:: Dyed my hair red. I've been thinking about doing it again, but then I remember how it didn't come out!

Once upon a time I swore I wouldn't be "one of those sports-moms"....

Stuff happens!

I will NEVER again take a family vacation with DH's family. It always starts with the "it will be fun, we'll all go (destination) but everyone will do what they want". Of course you must remember that "what you want to do" means "what FIL insists you do".

After passing on two family madness encounters we finally agreed to participate two years ago. We had heard the stories but were "sure" that this trip would be different. Oh well, at least it took us only one trip to realize that this would go on our What Not to Do list - we still can't figure out why SIL and BIL agreed to this on three occasions. In fact, they are even talking about a Magical Gathering early next year. I never thought I could pass on a trip to Disney, but....

After we sold our last house I swore we wouldn't have our realtor become a "duel" realtor representing both buyer and seller ever again. Well, we just did it again. Really wish we had someone to represent us and not just "them". At least it's sold, right? Sigh.
