In the summer of 1984, David Robinson was on a basketball tour playing non -coached, non competive practice. his team arrived at USMA to play our enlisted basketball team at West Point, he stepped on my big toe and that toe nail has been damaged ever since. he was not famous then, but has become one of two most famous people i meet at West point, the other being general maxwell Taylor.

in oregon they use to use round boards that glide along the incoming surf, of course my friend only had one,so little time to practice on the wet sand....in those 50 years since, I think I have only seen it one other time, but I seldom visit beach in the summer where folks flock together for such recreationally activism
