Wow, that is some story, Wendy!!!! Over the years, we have seen party chislers, but I think this takes the pasta, er, I mean cake. Very strange for sure.

That is an incredible story. Obviously they planned it that way. They probably do this often. Invite the entire town (You know, all those freeloaders) and figure it's a free meal for themselves. They may even freeze the leftovers.

I have seriously never heard of such rude behavior. Ever.

We had friends over one time. They have 5 pretty young kids. We bought steaks, hamburgers and hotdogs. We figured the kids would probably eat hotdogs or hamburgers. When we asked the parents, they said: Oh, the kids like steak. I guess that's what I get for asking.

I am pretty sure too it was decided that their "close friends" would eat inside and would get first dibs as we used to say on the food, before it went outside...I am sure no one would have said anything if I had not gone inside for my salad as we would not have known even. They made a real pretense of getting the food outside themselves and did not want people coming into the house...

Believe it or not we got a birthday invitation to these peoples house again for the man who is turning 50 (No these are not kids and their kids are almost grown). Since we had not fought with them at all, they honestly did not have any idea I am sure we are mad....

I returned the invitation to them and wrote on it....Sorry I will not be catering anymore of your private parties inside the house...That is the last I expect to ever hear from these folks and I thank you all for all your positive responses, you gave me a good laugh and got me through this....
