have you ever asked for a bounce back offer?

I have high hopes of getting one, as I REALLY want (especially after reading the mom-daughter posts below!) to take DD to WDW in March for her 5th birthday (just her and I). The ONLY way this will be possible is if we get a bounce back offer during our trip in 2 months. Can I ask for one? Have you ever? Any suggestions?!

We did on our last trip. People had reported seeing a card in their rooms, but ours didn't have one, so I just called the front desk, and they put me through to reservations (not the regular CRO though)... we had to make the call from the room, but they told us what the current bounce back offer was and we booked it right there.

We didn't get a card last time and I knew there was a bounceback available from these boards. I went on a quest. We asked the front desk- they couldn't find a card. They told me to call a reservations number. The reservations number told me they weren't the bounceback number it was separate and if there wasn't a card in my room and the front desk couldn't find one that meant there was no offer right now, which I knew was wrong. My DH went down to the front desk the next morning and it took about 2 seconds for a different CM to find a card for us. When I was talking to the bounceback line, the lady gave me this advice: Next time, if you don't get a card, find a maid cart and ask. The maids put them in the rooms, so they usually have them on the cart. If that doesn't work call housekeeping instead of the front desk. They usually have stacks of them as they are the ones that put them out. If that doesn't work, try the front desk. If that doesn't work, the resort television channel often runs an "ad" for the bounceback with the extension and code. I also realized when I called, I probably wouldn't have even needed the code from the card. I know somewhere on the disboards is a thread that gives the bounceback extension number. If all else fails, I would just call the extension from the room, tell them you want to book a bounceback and see what happens.
