Have you enjoyed using your second day free option at SW?

We've been to SW a few times, but it's been a couple of years. We're hoping to use that second day free option to save us from buying passes at another theme park. I'm not sure if we're going to feel like we've "wasted" a day by doing that, though. If you did this with your kids (mine are ages 4-15) were you all a little bored that second day? Do you wish you would have used that day to do another park? Any insight would be appreciated. As a side note, our family hates coasters so that won't be a draw.

I went with my parents once and did 2nd day free. We arrived at Sea World around 11 am and stayed until closing (7 pm). Then we did the 2nd day and spent about 5-6 hours doing the things that we missed the previous day. It was a leisurely way to do the park.
