Cafe? Is it a table meal or counter service and does it have good food? Must you make reservations??

They have wonderful food & service. We've never had a disappointing meal here, and try to dine here during every trip. The ambience is charming...we always try to get a seat near a window so we can look out & admire the beautiful resort.

We've eaten there many times most often for lunch. Very good food and service. It is a beautiful retaurant with lots of windows looking out on the GF grounds.

It is table service. We always make Advanced Reservations. At times it is not too busy but you never know when it will be jammed so just in case we make ARs even if it is last minute.

We had dinner there once and will return again this year. It was really good and it is a TS place.

You have just come upon one of Disney World's hidden gems. We have 3 favorite restaurants, Le Cellier, Artist Point and Grand Floridian Cafe. I would have to say that if I had to choose only one for a vacation that I didn't want to miss for sure it would be the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Wonderful service, excellent food, and just a very charming atmosphere. A wonderful combination of "fancy" looking decor and food with a casual feel and price. Try the Chocolate Ganache Fondue. OH, I can't wait for April!!! YUM!!! And my niece had the childrens menu pizza and said it was the best pizza she's ever tasted.

Dh and I have eaten dinner there with no adr, just called during a rain storm and had about 30 minute wait. Didnt mind as the musicians were playing in the lobby, great atmosphere. The food was very good. We shared the crab cake appetizer. DH had the onion soup and I had the field green salad. For the main course dh had the pistachio snapper, I dont see that on the current allears.net website, I had the pasta with shrimp. I did think the sauce was a little much. For the dessert we shared the chocolate fondue. I didnt like it, dh loved it. I think it came with strawberries, pineapple, marshamallows. Not to my liking. I would have rather tried the mini desserts. They also had some great sourdough rolls and little mini cinnamon raisins rolls to go along with the dinner too. Our server was Jessie and she was fantastic.

If you called WDW dining even from the room you did have an AR. You can also go to resort concierge and ask them to book an AR for you even last minute assuming any availibility.

GFC is 1 of our "Have to eat" places every trip. Its our tradition to eat breakfast there our 1st morning. It is our fav. meal there. Lunch is wonderful too!!

hope that helps

My DH and I are planning on eating there while our DD4 is attending the Wonderland Tea Party. We are really lookng forward to it! And also checking out the lifesize gingerbread house they make for the Holidays!

Princesspiglet,

Can you tell me where to get some info on the Wonderland Tea Party?

We are going at Christmas and New Years too! Were so excited already.

We have eaten there several times and enjoyed it. The time we went without an ADR, the guard would not let us thru the gate. I turned the car around, pulled over, called Disney Dining and made one for 15 min later. The guard was a bit surprised! ;)
