Have you done- "Around The World at Epcot" Segway?

Did the Segway Tour back in April. Will be doing it next Monday with some family. It is an absolute blast!

The six of us are scheduled for 10/9 at 9:30am. It's our first day at the parks so hopefully no major spills.

My 21 yr DD fell 3 weeks ago and now has a cast on her arm for a hairline fracture in her wrist  so I doubt they'll let her participate. I guess she'll be the camera person. I wonder if they'll give us a refund if she can't participate?

One of the best comments I've heard at WDW was in May when DH and I did the Segway. As we were making our way to WS, a mom told her child, who had asked "What are those?" or something (I didn't really hear the question) "Oh, those aren't real people! They are robots!!" I don't really think she believed that, but it was funny. And the comments from all those who think it is really easy!.
It is easy, but it does take some instruction.
And it is a great tour!

We did it on Sept 28 and had a blast! I had a couple of mishaps (not paying attention to what I was doing... both times NOT on the Segway itself, but handling it, nothing major at all... just being a klutz) but I got the hang of it like I was born to ride! It was really fun and easy to ride.

Word of caution: you are standing up for 2 hours straight... make sure you stretch your legs on the breaks or it can be really tiring on your legs/feet.

We had a passholder rate and would do this tour again in a heartbeat! We did the 9:30 tour and would prefer the 8:30 tour next time.

ClarabelleCowFan -- we were on the first session. we had a blast too.

Awwww sorry we missed you! Maybe we need to start SEGWAY posts like the ones for Fireworks cruises. :rotfl:

Glad you had fun. We did see you guys leaving Segway Central as we were walking in and saw your Segways parked when we got back. :teeth:

I am so bummed that I can't do it, DD is only 12 :(

I think I may have found the perfect Christmas present for Grandma and Granddaddy. Grandma has been wanting to try the Segway for a while now and like someone else said, what better place to do it? Grandma has bad knees, though, would this be a problem? And where do I go to get more info and book? Thanks for the great idea! I love the DIS!
