Have you cruised on Oct 31 into Nov?

Do they change over the ship decor for nov 1st to thanksgiving or holiday theme? Or does it change over on the next cruise?
I know the parks change overnight, but not sure about the cruises...that may make me rethink my dates!

It changes from Halloween to not Halloween, typically, for one cruise following the cruise that actually sails over Halloween. Then then Very MerryTime decorations pop up at the end of that cruise.

Now, some years that one week of "nothing" isn't there. It depends on what day of the week Halloween falls.

I will be on the one cruise in between. So, we should expect Christmas decor before we disembark? That'll be a neat surprise.

Maybe. They might start putting up the Gingerbread House before your cruise is done. But most of the decorations actually appear in the "gap" between when everyone is off the first cruise and the guests start boarding for the next.

We cruised on the Fantasy last year from 10/29-11/5. The boat was Halloween the entire time butCataway Cay had the Christmas decoration up when we got there. As we were debarking we saw the stores setting up the Christmas merchandise.

I was on the last Halloween on the High Seas cruise last year out of NYC. Day 5 was our day in Disney World. When we left the boat to go to the park, the Halloween decorations were up. When we came back to the Magic, all the Christmas decorations were up and they were playing Christmas music. That was pretty cool. We got to see both sets of decorations.

When we were on the Panama Canal cruise in 2015 over Halloween they started taking down Halloween and putting up the Christmas decorations. We also watched them practicing a new Christmas dance segment in the atrium with all their holiday costumes...so cute!!

It's too bad that they bypass a Thanksgiving theme by going straight from Halloween theming to Christmas.

I was on the last Halloween on the High Seas cruise last year out of NYC. Day 5 was our day in Disney World. When we left the boat to go to the park, the Halloween decorations were up. When we came back to the Magic, all the Christmas decorations were up and they were playing Christmas music. That was pretty cool. We got to see both sets of decorations.

We were on the same cruise (with the horn battle with the Wonder to top it off)! It was very cool leaving the ship with Halloween decorations, to come back with it decked out for Christmas.

Remember they have an international audience. Halloween and Christmas (at least secularly) are much more widely celebrated than a US holiday.
