My DD is turning Sweet 16 next month and would LOVE to go see a Boston Celtics game. We are BIG fans. :thumbsup2

This isn't a cheap venture :laughing:a travel company is selling tickets and round trip premier bus chartering for $179 per person.:scared1:

So, for those of you who have gone, was it fun? How early do they let you into the garden? Is there lots of merchandise for sale? Tell me about it;)

I'm looking at a game against the Cleveland Cav's which is our 2nd favorite team. Plus, Leon Powe is now on their team and we loved him!

The price is good, depending on where the seats are. But I would pay that no problem.

I have gone to may events at the Garden, sporting, and concerts etc. I have always had a great time, especially if Boston wins:goodvibes

They usually open doors at least 60-90 minutes ahead of time depending on the event.

Merchandise - OH YEAH!! Everything from baby items to 4XL, from stuffed animals to signed shirts. The pro-shop sells both Bruins & Celtics items. I am not a huge person so I usually buy a boys XL as opposed to adult merchandise - much cheaper.

They also usually have a silent auction going on as well for some pretty good memorabilia on one level.

Is she looking for anyting specific?

Food is pricey so bring some extra or plan on eating outside. There is a great pizza place right across from the Garden. It always looks packed (ok is) but the turnover is quick. I usually grab a seat whil BF gets the food. Hint: skip the front counter they also serve at a back counter which is wasy less crowded.

Thanks for replying! She isn't looking for anything specific but never have gone before I just wanted to make sure stuff was there to buy;) as I said she is turning Sweet 16 next month so I already bought her Celtics car mats, Celtics license plate frame and a new Celtics hoody.

My BIL is giving her a signed ball by Rajon Rondo for her Sweet 16 - she is going to FLIP!!!

I still miss the old Boston Garden (sigh). Broke my heart when they tore it down.
