Have you been charged duty on Shutterfly photo books?

Thought I read that Canadians are not charged duty/fees on Shutterfly photo books here on the DIS, but no so sure? I have two 8x8 books to order (only $23.00 each).

As I recall, Canadians have been charged duty on Disney photo books though, so I am confused?

Anyone know about this?

Thanks, Tiger

My wife occasionally orders photo books from shutterfly and has never been charged any duty or taxes.

I have ordered from Shutterfly several times, and have never been charged duty regardless of the product (photobooks or prints). The quality of their merchandise is excellent and we have been more than satisfied each time.

My only complaint about Shutterfly is that it takes MUCH longer to receive the shipment than if we use another photobook provider (such as Picaboo). We live in Ontario, and on average it takes 2-3 weeks from ordering for the book or photos to arrive. Of course, I could speed things up if I paid for expedited shipping, but I'm thrifty :upsidedow so I use these experiences as good opportunities to learn to be patient :rotfl: .

If you are looking for a good quality provider that also doesn't charge duty (as they have a processing facility right here in Canada), try Picaboo. I got my photobook within a couple of days of order. I thought Shutterfly's product was higher quality on the whole over Picaboo's, but I was more than satisfied with both.

Hope that helps!
