have to get an artificial christmas tree this year

I love my new (3rd year this year) tree, because it was pre-lit. Now a section is dark and I'm too lazy to hunt down every possible problem. I just turned that section to the back this year.

I have the artificial tree that my father bought when I was TWO. I am now 42. Christmas would not be the same for me without that tree. I cannot remember anything but THAT tree. Maybe your kids will end up feeling about your tree the way I feel about mine.

I grew up with artificial trees, so it's all I know. We got ours at Garden Ridge for $75 back in '04. We bought it at Halloween when they had a 50% off sale. We got an unlit tree because I like to alternate between colored an white lights from year to year. I use a tree scented plug-in from Bath & Body works. People always ask me if the tree is real.

I love the look of your tree, the brown on the needles makes it look real. BUT we only have 8 ft ceilings in our house. Do you know if they have it in a 7 1/2 ft version?

Also about kitty kat peeing on the tree... YIKES I did'nt think that would happen. We have always had real trees and have had the cat with real trees for 5 of those years. We figured that there was an animal scent on there that he didn't care for. I SOOOOO Hope he doesn't pee on the fake one. :headache:

I have the same tree from Target that the PP took pictures of. I bought it year before last after Christmas sale for 75% off:cool1:

It is really easy to put together and because it's prelit, it cuts down the aggravation of putting lights on/off. We put our tree up tonight, and it was really quick.

I think they have the same tree but a smaller version of it available, at least they did last year. Look for the one with frosted tips, they glisten very nicely with the lights. HTH.

I just saw a beautiful pre-lit Noble Fir fake tree at Costco last night that was $200 with a $50 instant Rebate off that. It looked and felt so real and I wanted to buy it right then and there, but everyone in my family loves to do the tree farm thing so I had to pass it up. We spend about $60-$70 dollars on the real thing each year so it would have paid itself off in less than three years. :sad2: I haven't checked, but they might have them on Costco.com as well...
