I was afraid it was going to come to this and it did.

My DH has to have his wisdom teeth removed late this summer and I will have to use my vacation days to take care of him. This means I won't have enough days for the convention.

Well it was a nice thought...maybe next year.

I am an RDH and I have worked also in an Oral Surgeon's office. The recovery for impacted Wisdom teeth is 1-2 days! If he got them out on a Friday morning...he should be back to work on Monday! The only thing that will slow you down is if he is a smoker. I hope all goes well for him but I think it will be less than you think.

My DH got his out last year and all he needed was one day off...the day of the surgery. It really isn't a big deal anymore.
