...should I expect LONG wait times?

Our 7-month window opens on Friday and we are booking with transferred points so we must call (can't book online). I will be at work and may or may not be available so my dad is planning to do a 3-way call in case I have to drop out. Should we plan for a long wait with the California booking frenzy?
 
I have luck using transferred points online at 7 months but only use at WDW so don’t know if that makes a difference.

Yes, they are a different home resort, different UY and different owner...so I have never been able to make a new reservation with them online before. I have been able to modify a reservation that was made with the transferred points, but I have not been able to make a new reservation. We have had a "relationship" with the same owner since 2016 so these transfers are not new to me, but if I am able to make the first reservation online now, I would be ecstatic!

I have been able to make new ones 7 months or less without an issue with transferred points since the system went online.
 
I was able to book it! (Sort of...)

Thanks to @Sandisw , I went through the process and sure enough, there were the transferred points!:yay: Then, thanks to @RoseGold , I booked Oct 15-22 in the room we needed and I will modify it in 2 days so that I have the dates that we need:thumbsup2.

Needless to say, I am so thankful to both of you for your knowledge and input:flower3:. I would not have thought of either of these two scenarios and I put myself through a lot of anxiety about this reservation. Now that it is made, I can relax and simply wait until August when ADR time rolls around. :rotfl2:

I believe that you can only make 7-month (or less) reservations online with transferred points. If you try to make a reservation at >7 months with transferred points, you would have to call. I think the reason I thought it was an "always" situation is that I have "always" booked at 11-months with the transferred points. The transferred points are BWV points (I own at AKV and HHI) and, in the past, we would split our stays between BWV and AKV so I would book at 11 months with both points. This trip, because of the BWV refurbishment and our travel party, we plan to spend the entire week at AKV. I only had enough of my own AKV points to book one night in the 2 BR so it would have been a moot point to book anything at 11 months. I just decided to wait until 7 months to book the whole week....which is why I have been VERY anxious! I've never booked our entire trip at 7 months before. We've always had SOMETHING booked at the 11-month window. This time, we even had our airfare booked before we had a room!
