Have to always click "Jump to new"

Previously when I clicked into a thread I had visited before it would take me to the first unread message. Now it just opens onto the page where I left off, but I have to always click "Jump to new" to have the site scroll to where I left off. Any one else experience this?

It's inconsistent for me. I experience both when I open threads.
