Depends on the number of pictures I have..but I have been known to do up to a 4 page layout for my photos. Especially if related to a character meal or a child's sporting event!

Most definitely. I'm making a sports album for each of my kids (5) of them.. anything I have news articles, pamplets, programs, they are added in pockets for them. I am also lucky enough that the HS level in CC they give the kids numbers to attach to their jerseys.. so I'm incorporating them into my dd's pages!

Do you perfer to journal by hand or type it out? Depends on my mood. But I have started handwriting more so that they kids will remember what I wrote like and have maybe a more sincere perspective because mommy wrote it!

Right now I spend any where for 4-5 hours a week..but once I get my preschooler going to school it will be at least 10-12 hours a week!!! Yeah!

How much do you spend on albums and supplies per month? depends on what I run out of..but nothing is bought unless it is on sale or I have a coupon!!

Do you attend weekly scrap meets and/or conventions? How often?No, the girls on here give me enough motivation to work at my own pace!!

Way too long. Sometimes I can get a page done in 20 minutes, sometimes an hour. But usually longer, like 2.5 hours for one page. The worst part for me is picking out what paper to use, and any embellishments. The actual assembly goes pretty fast.

Depends. Parades always go more than one 2 page layout. Most other stuff I do try to limit to one or 2 pages. Especially for my Disney books, because they get HUGE quickly. For family pictures, especially pre-digital, I would scrap everything because each one is precious. Not like now where I could take 25 pictures of one event.

Most definitely. I have a 7-drawer Iris, that has all the paperwork from vacations.

I do both, and I like both. If I have a lot to write, I will usually do it on the computer. If it's just small stuff like date, place, people, what it was for, I will do it by hand.

I haven't scrapped photos all year. But I've been doing swaps here on the DIS, and I would work on them a couple hours a day, 3 or 4 days per week. Except the recent ABC swap, that was 13 days, 10 hours a day. I need a break!

Umm...too much. I'm supposed to be on shopping ban, that doesn't work out to well. If I had to guess, I'd guess $150 a month. Although some months it would be $20 and some months $200. In July, I spent a TON. I don't want to think about it. Although, I am justifying it because I am making wedding albums for DH's cousins.

Nope. When I lived in AZ, I would get together with a DIS friend occasionally. I am too self-conscious to scrap in public, I think.

It all depends on whether I have things I need for them or if I am creating embellishments as I go along. But above I have listed 2 amounts- 1 for when I have premade mebellishments and one for when I have nothing and start from scratch. I don't generally do super elaborate pages.

I will use as many pages as I need to tell the whole story and use all the pictures I want to include. That being said I also use a variety of sizes of photos and will have 5 or more on a one page spread at times, most of my topics are 2 pages but Its a Small World I had so much that I did 6 pages.

Do you perfer to journal by hand or type it out? If I have time and the computer I will do it on the computer but if I am away from home or don't have time to sit down, type, and print I will use handwriting.

It all depends on the day- since I have been getting ready to go to SDV I have worked on packaging kits a couple hours a day, when I am oing a gift album I will work 2-4 hours at a time so I can finish it in a few days. I generally work about 5-6 hours a week on scrapping and swapping I would guess, I would say more if I included my Dis time or online searching of items and files for my cutter into it.

How much do you spend on albums and supplies per month?It depends on what I am doing but I try to limit myself to less than $100. I generally buy things only if they are on a tremendous (75% off) sale or I have a specific project I am going to use them for. I used to buy whatever I found that I fancied but now I have more stuff than I can fit into my area so I am cutting down on the amount of stuff I buy.

On the last question- I attend CKC in Fort Lauderdale one weekend a year. I am attending a Scrapper Dream Vacation in Disney this weekend, and I plan to go to one other convention here in Florida this year. I would like to go to crops more regularly but don't have any near my house.

lets see, it usually takes me anywhere from an hour to several to do a layout. kind of depends on my mood.

how many pages per topic? well, usually 2 unless it's halloween and that takes at least 6. I will print my pics smaller that 4x6 or crop them so I can get lots of pictures on a page though.

I don't tend to put other stuff in with the layouts like tickets,etc unless I'm making a paper bag book or something like that, it's easier to stick them in that than an actual layout.

I tend to just journal by hand, too much of a pain to stop what I'm doing and go upstairs to the computer.

I may scrap 10 hrs for the month if I'm lucky...

don't really go to scrap meets/conventions/etc because really it's too much of a hassle to pack up things that I "might" want to use or figure out exactly what I want to work on..

spending: um yeah that would depend on whether or not there are new $ stamps or prima flowers. generally speaking, on average I probably spend 40-60$ a month, sometimes much less. it just really depends on where I am, if there is a good sale, etc

of course now I'm scrapping digitally so spending currently is zero since there are so many free kits out there. there are places that will print your 12x12 layout for 99 cents so it may still be cheaper than it was for all the fun stuff and real paper, etc.

For me a lo can take anywwhere from an hour to many - depending on how organized I am or if my creativity has reached its frustration level. I tend to make lo spontaneously rather than following specific patterns.

My Disney books usually run 20 pages on both sides
(40 pgs) since we tend to take so many pictures. We have lately become more selective about what we want pix of before we have gone, so we can focus on places, people etc..that we have overlooked on previous trips.

Money spent -I have a great family who know that scrapping materials are what I'd like.This is so enjoyable for me and my grown children and DH know that. Tough to put an amount on my materials. As others have also said, I love coupons!

Time spent - My CM consultant usually has monthly scraps, otherwise I do it on my own with lots of ideas from this board and others.

It depends. When I pre-plan pages, they come together very quickly, but I've put a lot of time in on the planning end. It varies a lot.

As many pages as I feel it needs. I don't limit myself on scrapping - if I want to take 12 pages to scrap a parade, I take the 12 pages. My books are always big and busting at the seams, but they include everything I want them to.

Always. I save everything. I just finished a scrapbook for some trips to DC and I had more memorablia than I had photos.

If it is longer than a couple of sentences, I prefer to type it. Shorter things I'll write, but I tend to be a storyteller in my albums and it's rarely short.

Yes, I attend a crop at a LSS at least once a month, sometimes more often (once a week lately!) and have attended several local conventions.

It depends for me sometimes a 1 page can take longer than a 3 page. I decide which pics I want to use next and then pick paper,etc. If I am going to Cricut on them also has an effect on the time. I dont put Cricut cutouts on every page

That was the way I "learned" from my greandmother obviously they didnt have the array of supplies we have available now. I save everything and then use what I can to add to the pages.

I do a little each way. If I am typing then I do it, hand written is done by my wife.

I can spend a whole day sometimes and go weeks and do nothing. Summer is harder to find time to scrap. I used to be able to work on it at the ambulance station while on duty . Now our boss is being a pain.

Anything from 20 minutes to 10 hours, depending on how inspired I am, how difficult what I'm trying to do is, etc.

1 page to an entire book, or two, depending on topic.

Either way - and sometimes no photos at all.

About 50-50 - depends on where the journaling fits into the design - if it's around an element, obviously I do it by hand. If it's photo captions, by hand. If it's a long paragraph, computer. If I'm space limited, computer with a really small font.

I'm retired, so that's not really going to give you an idea - when I was working, I'd average 40 hours a month, but mostly on weekends. Now, I spend time every single day at my scrap table doing something, and probably spend 200 hours a month.

Anything from 0$ to 500$ depending. We don't have an LSS any more, so I can't spend on classes like I used to do. I have my tools already. But let me go to a convention or on a trip and hit LSS and see my total go through the roof!

Joann's has a crop twice a month, A local library once a month, a CM dealer every other month, and I try to attend. I have friends in to scrap about twice a month. Conventions - once this year, if I'm lucky I'll go twice next year.

We don't have them here, but I do a fortnightly crop for my 2 (yes 2) CM customers. Its just 2 hours - they only scrap at these, which is why they've just started their 2nd albums after 2 years

Just like everyone else said it all depends. If I am doing a Tami Potter page (google it if you don't know her stuff) it takes forever with all the measuring. I just did a one page concert layout (no photos allowed) and it took 20 minutes. I photocopied a few things from the tour book I bought and added my ticket, and added a little glitter since it was a concert.

This all depends on what I am doing. I rarely use all the pics just because I take so many. It is usually a two stage sorting. When I put the pics onto my computer I decide which ones look good to print. After I get the prints I pair them up and decide which ones to actually use.

Always. But if there is some reason I want the item (like a brochure or something) for later, I photo copy it

Tons. Although with the wedding coming up and the BAN in full effect, I have been much better than last year. Doesn't hurt that I really want the $1,000 Pazzel (cost with all the "extras"), so I really need to curtail for a while to justify spending that!

I have only made it to 2 conventions so far. I LOVE them though. I have never been to a crop, and although I would like to go, I am not sure how much I would get done since I tend to use everything in my scrap room on every page.

I rarely do one page layouts... mostly 2 page and occasionally 4 page. I consider myself a rather slow scrapper, so I would say about 2 hours for a two page layout, start to finish (not including selecting which photos to print). I occasionally can do a 2 page LO in an hour, if I hav just the perfect photos and am feeling really inspired.

I try to keep most smaller events (birthday parties, concerts, day trips) to a single 2 page LO. For longer events such as vacations and a sports season, I will use whatever amount of pages it takes. For example, our 2004 WDW trip ..... my DD's books total 75 two page LOs for a total of 150 pages... plus I do separate books for each child, so assuming DS's book is the same size that is 300 pages for an 8 day vacation. NO WONDER I AM SO FAR BEHIND! But for our usual family vacation at the lake, I will usually end up with just 4 pages (2- 2 page LOs) for an 8 day vacation.

I started scrapping primarily to have a place to put my memorabilia (way back in the 1970's). And it made sense to continue to scrap that way when my children were born. I wanted a better place to put all of the cards and such than just a cardboard box. I love to include ticket stubs, brochures, ski passes, arcade tokens, etc. To me it is SO cool to have the actual item if possible.
Do you perfer to journal by hand or type it out? I type 99% of my journaling. I hate my handwriting and I love all of the fun fonts out there. But I have hand written a few bits here and there in my kids books, just to keep the personal touch.

I definitely go in spurts. I will do lots of scrapping, many hours a day for a few weeks, and then not do anything for two months. I would say that I probably average just a few hours a month.... but some months there is NO time spent and other months I spend lots of time. It depends a lot on the weather, the kids sports, and my work schedule (I am a substitute teacher, so my work schedule varies a LOT!).

How much do you spend on albums and supplies per month? Definitely not as much as some folks around here! And I joined the "Ban" this year, so truly my spending has been VERY LITTLE. But I did receive a Cricut for a combined Mother's Day/birthday gift this year. Since it was a gift I don't include the amount spent in my scrappinb budget. I guess in years past I could say that I spend about $50/month.

And I enjoyed them both very much, but it was a great deal of work getting ready and packed up. But I got a lot done, although it helped that I didn't know anyone at them. If I had lots of friends there it would have been very easy to get caught up in talking rather than working! I have recently joined a small local scrapping club that meets once a month, but I have only made it to one crop. And that number probably WON'T improve this fall, once soccer and swim season kick in. oh well.
