have shoes-need socks!!

Am looking for socks for my dds4 to wear with his sneaks at the parks. The ones he has are too thick and his little feet sweat horribly. Any suggestions?

I don't know if they make them for kids, but the new socks with Cool Max are great. You can find them with the regular men's and women's socks, so I assume if they make them in kids sizes they'd have them with the regular kids' socks as well. The Cool Max fabric is a moisture wicking fabric that takes the moisture away from your foot and wicks it away towards the outer layer of the sock where it can evaporate more quickly. It keeps your feet feeling cooler and dryer and helps to prevent blisters. DH and I originally got them for our upcoming trip to WDW and for our trips to the gym, but I like them so much I've been wearing them pretty much every day. We've found them in two different thicknesses, regular and super thin. The super thin ones seemed like a good idea at the time because I thought they'd keep my feet really cool, but instead the material just felt really slippery inside my shoes and because they were so super thin they made my shoes feel too big. If you can't find them in a store near you (we found ours at Target and at an outlet store called Socks Galore), I'd try looking on the Internet. I know that amazon.com sells some socks with Cool Max and that they even carry them in different lengths. Typically in stores I only see the short little ankle length ones that you can barely see inside your shoe. Maybe since they carry the socks in extra lengths and styles they'll also carry them in kids' sizes as well. You might try looking them up as "Cool Max socks" and as "moisture wicking socks" and have better luck. Hope you find something that works!

If you have seen the Under Armour socks I wouldn't recommend them. They are very expensive and hard to get on. They also get dirty quick. So unless you really wanna try em I wouldn't suggest them.

You can buy Cool Max socks in kids sizes at Target. They have them in adult sizes too. I bring foot powder to sprinkle in our shoes when we wear sneakers. Foot spray is also great for soothing your feet after a long day.

Personally, we are always more comfortable wearing supportive sandals in the parks.

If you have a Stride Rite in your area, they have GREAT thin socks. I had looked all over for socks that didn't have the grey heels and toes. These are just bobby-type socks, and my 6 year old son loves them!

I have also heard over and over about spraying anti-perspirant on your feet so that they don't sweat so much. I haven't tried it, but we are taking it with us when we go in 2 weeks.

definitely cool max. Have used them for several disney trips. No sweaty
feet, no blisters. They really work. Target has them. Not sure about
childrens sizes though. Have a magical trip!!!
