Have PS at BOMA, pay $7. for parking for off-site guest?

I wouldn't take the chance of getting lost. The server at Boma will refund his $7.

My friends who live in Orlando eat at the California Grill all the time and have no problems getting through without paying the parking fee a night to go for dinner. They usually stop charging the parking fee at night and you can breeze right through.

We have eaten at the Disney resorts many times without staying there. Never had to pay for parking. No way. Just tell the guard that you have a PS for the resturant and he gives you a pass.

I'm sure all sorts of people around Orlando have learned this and Disney encourages it because its good buisness.

By the way, you do not have to go to or through the magic kingdom parking to get to the Poly. Someone already said this, but I confirm it.

The disney guards have gotten much better post 9-11. In the old days, I hate to confess this. I use to park at the poly or contemporary instead of paying for parking and walk to the magic kingdom. I think it was just an old trick that many did, too many I guess because now they watch for it. In those days the guard just waved at you and you drove through and you waved back. Ah yes, those were the good ol days.

There still are some tricks, but I would never tell them over the internet.

as long as you self park! Valet is $7.00. When you get to the gate at AKL you just have to show your ID, the guard gives you a 3 hour parking pass which you place on your windshield.

We ate at the Poly a year ago and did not pay for parking! We just went on through and self-parked-no $$$$ was exchanged. At Boma, that makes even less sense since the valet parking is only $6!

Boma isn't the problem. You do not go through the AK parking gates to get to Boma. The only time this comes into play is when you go to a MK resort as you pass through the MK parking gate.

Yes, going into the MK area is more of a problem because you can't get priority seating for the Tambu Lounge at the Poly and, therefore, don't have a confirmation number to show if anyone asks.

don't have worry about confirmation numbers or anything like that...we have visited many resorts and their restaurants without having any PS or confirmation #'s....if the guard at the shack asks, we just tell them we are either going in to eat or that we are just checking out the resort grounds for a possible future stay and have never had any problems..
