Hi Everyone!

After weeks of lurking on the Dis I figure it's time to share plans for our next trip to the World - now just one month away, woo hoo! :yay: This is my very first trip report, and I just can't wait to get started - so here we go...

Introducing:

Lizz (that's me!), 26 :) I'm a library assistant by day and extreme holiday planner! This will be my third trip to WDW (my first visit was on honeymoon with DP in 2007) and whilst I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the World at first, after my first visit I was hooked! My favourite attraction is probably the American Adventure or Hall of Presidents (I guess I'm a bit of a history geek...) and, of course, I just love TSM.

DP, Sal, 26 (turning 27 just before our trip...what an oldie!) Information manager, electronics whizz, and Disney fan. Sal visited EPCOT for the day on a family holiday back in 1990-something, but her first real on-property stay was in 2007. Sal loves ToT and EE...but she doesn't like flying, how crazy is that?! She'll be braving the skies across the Atlantic with me next month so fingers crossed for no turbulance from England to MCO!

What's the Plan?

We'll be staying at AKL for 8 nights from 27th November:cool1: and we're both soooo excited. I know we don't have a Savannah View booked but I figure we'll be able to see loads of animals from the viewing areas, plus we'll be on-site for Boma: my favourite restaurant!

So this trip should be special for all sorts of reasons:

It's our THIRD trip to WDW
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

To celebrate our SECOND anniversary
:love::love::love::love:

And it's our FIRST time staying at AKL!
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Stay tuned for a quick look back at our past trips, plus ADRs and loads of other plans ahead - bring it on!

Thanks so much for following along, I'm really excited to share our plans with you all!

So let me tell you a little bit about our flight plans - they sure have been flighty! As I mentioned before, DP is not a big fan of being airborne. Here she is on our last trip in January, hiding behind those free eye masks they give out:

We had originally booked flights for this trip, departing around 11 in the morning. It's an 8 hour flight from London to MCO and I figure the earlier we leave, the earlier we land at Disney: more time for the Mouse! We'd decided to stay at an airport hotel overnight as we live around 2 1/2 hours from the airport and didn't fancy battling traffic at rush hour BUT....then our flight got cancelled three months back:confused3 I guess the plane just wasn't selling out :confused: So we got moved to another flight on the same day, this time leaving at 1pm - oh no, two hours less at WDW!!

On the plus side, there's no need for a hotel now, I reckon even sleepy heads like us can get up at 8am and still arrive at the airport on time. So I'm trying to get together some books, games and other stuff to do - we've got 8 hours of plane time to fill, does anyone have suggestions for fun games or Disney trivia? (I just love me a quiz)

Woah, gotta go to work but will update more this evening, thanks for reading!

Thats a good idea with having games to play on the flight with each other, the 8hr flight can be a killer from London

Agreed! Plus I can never sleep on the flight over,so I'm always a bit jet-lagged for the first few days...doh!

So I thought I'd share a few memories from our 2007 trip. We celebrated our civil partnership on a very wet day in December back in the UK and then set off for Florida two days later. This whole trip did get off to a bit of a wobbly start as I'd muddled up our flight times. With all the civil partnership planning I'd somehow forgotten to check our flight tickets and we ended up at the airport a day early - whoops!! Oh well, at least it wasn't a day late...:rolleyes1 No worries though, we headed back home, chilled out, re-packed and then went back to the airport - second time lucky!!

When we finally made it Stateside, we stayed 7 nights at WL and this was my first time at Disney :banana: - I have to confess that I hadn't even found the Dis at this time, how bad is that?!

WL was just magical, and all decorated for the holiday season with a massive Christmas tree in the lobby:

Here is DP and I meeting up with some new pals - our first character meet:

We didn't have the dining plan, but we sure ate pretty well! I had been on a diet for a few months before our civil partnership, so this was a chance to relax and - I have to confess - eat all the bad stuff I'd been avoiding! Here I am only a few hours after we arrived at WL, and I've already got my mits on the re-fillable mugs fully of fizzy pop:

We had a wonderful stay and by the time our week ended, I'd made up my mind: we were definitely going back to WDW!!
