for any good incentives at AKV or SSR? I own at SSR and BWV.My dh and I are considering selling our BWV contracts and either buying more SSR or AKV.

I love the thought of AKV because I love the resort and the room options available. I enjoyed our stays at SSR and I really like the resort alot. It's a toss up really..

I think you would be a bit premature with that tactic if you are doing it now. I would likely wait until you have stayed at AKV, and then decide if you want to "swap" contracts by selling BWV and buying AKV. Of course, you could always buy an add-on at AKV and sell your BWV one later too, if that's what you should choose.

I am looking at your question as you are doing this because you want more years and or you no longer want to stay at BW for most stays or have a the advantage of knowing you can get a BWV or SV. If this is true then the price only seems to go up although you most likely have some time before the next price increase... As far as SSR it would seem the end is nearing but I am sure with ROFR they can get you what you want....as far as AKL you may want to stay there before you make a big commitment or do a smaller add on. I think the info you are providing is not enough to give a good opinion as we do not know what the reasons are..... You said you like SSR.... If you need to stay at a particular resort peak season or you will not be happy then....If you are the type of person who just wnats to be at Disney and does not have to stay at one of the smaller resorts... and what more years then buy SSR it is a great resort I think AKL will be large enough... BUT if you have your heart set on the value or club level... The savannah view should be easy enough in the future if you are flexable.

Here is some more info..Hopefully it gives a little more insight.

We like the option of having more years.
I have stayed at AKL a few times and overall it is my favorite resort.
Since I have had my BWV points..I have yet to stay there.
(we bought points there after renting points)
We do not travel during peak season. We are seasonal ap holders and live close.

If you need more info just ask...

Thanks!!

If you never stay at BWV than I would say to sell it as there is no reason to the high MF for something you do not take advantage of. If you like AKL that much then it should be right for you. If you are skepitical buy enough points for every other year or third year. If you travel durning true DVC off peak it would seem because of the size you have a good chance of getting a savannah view but if you are stuck on this view then buy I would say buy there that is the only way to be sure..... Price it seems that the newer DVC will continue to go up especially considering the rumored locations (CR and DL) The older resorts will also follow the trend up but at some point the remaining time will have an adverse effect on the price when??????????? AKV has 50 Years SSR has 47 the rest 35 for younger people and those who will pass the contrcat on, at some point (and it has already) this will be a big consideration. There were threads about this which will win is up to the owner.... If you need a particuliar location....or if a longer contract.... if you like the location of the new resorts which a lot of people do than..... The bottom line is you are paying more for the older resorts a big part of the cost equation will be the price paid divided by the number of years on the contrcat... Does this make sense from a finacial point of view... that has also been debated... in this case being you never stay at the BW than yes it does
