have I missed my chance?

A few days ago I checked plane ticket rates and saw that they'd be about $216 each. Not bad at all, but I hesitated and didn't scoop them up. Checked again today and they've jumped up to $303. My trip is still a few months away, any chance they'll go back down a bit before then or do they continue to rise?

I've found many times prices are higher shopping Friday thru Monday. Check Tuesday / Wednesday.

Tues is the best day to buy plane tickets. Look again then!

I noticed that when I checked the flight prices first thing in the morning they were about 50.00 cheaper than in the afternoon. We now have a jet blue credit because I noticed they dropped and called for a credit. We also figured if we split the reservation (dh and i each have different reservation numbers) it gave us more credit. Try checking early in the morning, especially tomorrow (Tuesday)

clear your history on you computer too, sometimes that help, but really think early am like when the sun is rising early. ugh

They could come back down again before your trip. It's also always possible that they sold out of the less expensive seats and depending on how many are left, they may not decrease the price again due to demand. If they weren't better today, I'd keep an eye on them for a while longer and see what they do over time. Sometimes prices come down about six weeks beforehand....but there is no guarantee.
