I have not heard of her posts and look forward to reading them but this reminds me of my Great Aunt Pete (yeah a woman, it is a childhood nickname). She would give all us kids a cigar box with odd things in it like a rubber band, some bandaids, a broken pencil, a few pennies, peppermints, twistties from bread, a marble, etc. I never quite knew what to say but always acted grateful and said thank you cause that was how I was raised. It was a big joke in our family.

I've been reading old posts of Jill's that told about the gifts. OMG they are funny My MIL can't hold a candle to her but she did give me and my SIL (her daughter) pepper spray in pink camoflauge cases I guess your pepper spray should look cute LOL She also got SIL (again this is HER DAUGHTER) a d**k-o-meter - some sort of a gag gadget that looks like a keychain remote and is supposed to "gauge endowment". SIL asked why she didn't get me one and she said "I don't know. I guess I didn't think about it." THANK GOODNESS! I was much happier with my VS body spray and Dr Scholl's slipper socks! I cannot imagine my mother giving me a gift like that, I'd die of shame - I'm pretty sure she has no idea how her 3 grandkids got here!!
