Have I made a big mistake?

Recently, I purchased 3-day base tickets for my family of five. I figured on arrival day, I would be resting from the drive while my family could enjoy Downtown Disney. I just discovered that for just $48 more, we could have had an extra day and visited a fourth park!!!!! Is it possible to upgrade at this price, or would adding another day cost the full one day price?

We were there in March and upgraded from a 3 to a 4 day pass.We upgraded right outside MGM and it only took about 5 minutes and we were only charged the difference between the 3 and 4 day pass.

Get to the park extra early though, you don't want to miss out on visiting time

Absolutely, and thanks for the replies!!

We plan to arrive at Disney on Saturday, Dec. 9, around 3 PM. With Epcot being open until 9:30, we'll probably do the upgrade, see a little of Epcot, and cancel our dinner at Downtown Disney.


Will six hours during the off-season give us enough of a taste of Epcot to make the upgrade worth it? Where is the best place at Epcot to take the family (DW, DD11,DD10, DS3) to dinner?

You actually don't even need to do the upgrade on your first day. You can upgrade a ticket once you've used it, we've done that before with no problem.

Go straight to Soarin. Thats my favorite in all of Disney. Probably all the fast passes will be gone but just wait in line. It is great. Try to get on row 1. Enjoy

Hi! I'd grab a fastpass for Soarin' and then go to dinner at Garden Grill right there in the same building. It is a character meal and it revolves! Great time for the kids!

You can upgrade when you check in. Just did that last week. No problem.
