We leave in 8 days. I decided just the other night that the gown I was going to bring along for formal night is just too big to pack, will be too wrinkly and just a major pain, so......I've decided to make a new one myself! Now, like I said, we leave in 8 days, I haven't packed yet, I haven't filled out my docs yet, my husband needs to buy 2 pair of dress pants.......a "not fun" shopping trip, I have a Fire Dept. Banquet on Saturday (formal as well), Ladies night for work on Monday, a 3 hour class on Tuesday, and a spa day on Thurdsay before we leave. AND I've decided (and bought the fabric) to make not only the formal, but one other dress for another night! The fabric was sooooo cute that I just had to have something made out of it. What in the world was I thinking????

I just thought I would vent to some people that would listen!

You are a bit crazy!!!! LOL!!! But then again aren't all of us "Disney Freaks" a wee bit crazy!!

We don't leave for over 3 months and my suitcases have been packed since before Christmas 2003!! I'm kinda crazy in the other direction!!!

Now get off these boards, fill in those docs, and sew, sew, sew!!!

P.S. RELAX and enjoy your cruise. This sounds like a vacation you really NEED!!!

You are a busy girl!!! I would be lucky to get packed with all that going on, let alone make 2 dresses. Enjoy!!! I am sure they will look just perfect!:D

Yes, I think you are a bit crazy MrsFuzzmo...lol
I too, changed what I am bringing for the formal night. Just too much to carry, opted for less is more option. BUT, I just bought something else--certainly not sewing it. But, then again, I am more of the glue gun, staple, or tape person.
We will be on the same cruise, so you will have to show me your last minute dress. I am always impressed with anyone that sews.

See you at the Disboard meetings.

MrsFuzzmo, you need to take a deep breath and lie down for a while, :p . Boy, you really need this cruise!!

Mrsfuzzmo, will me make dresses for DD and me too? I'm envious, as I never learned to sew!:(

Deep Breaths? I live on deep breaths. The funny thing is , I am not stressed about this at all. I look at it as a challenge. I brough this on myself. I didn't NEED two new dresses, just thought it would be fun. Sorry, no time to lay down........too much stuff to do! But I love it! I'm pumped, not stressed.
(but I do believe I have gone MAD!)

Anyone else want a new outfit....Bring em on, let's really make this a challenge! lol.

When I read your post, I laughed but I could feel the energy!!! And doesn't it just add to the excitement of the cruise!!!

You sound like a talented person for sure and I'm sure that the dress will turn out perfectly! Have a great time and enjoy showing off your work of art!

SURE...I think I have the 3:00-5:00 am time slot still open on Wednesday morning!

All of these posts are making me laugh!

Can't wait to see the dress!

If I were trying to make a dress, I'd end up using the glue gun and staple gun someone mentioned above!

We just changed to late seating, so I'll tell my kids not to spill anything on your new dress when they're eating off your plate!(That's a joke that references another thread--at least, it's a joke if you READ that thread. :p )

Only a week to go!:bounce:

I was exausted to read what your plans were! You must thrive on stressful situations!

The Saga Continues......It is now Thursday evening, went to the "big mans store" for my husbands dress pants.....CLOSED. Now we have to do that tomorrow afternoon. But the dress, well, I slid it on over my head for the first time to fit it.......fit is not the word. I got the dang thing stuck just under my arms and my "no wrinkle fabulous fabric" turned into my "absolutely no give, god forsaken fabric". Yes, I was stuck, and stuck good. It wouldn't go on or off. I spent about 10 minutes struggling half naked in my basement (my sewing room) when I decided it was not coming off. I seriously considered running across the street to my In-laws house for help, but like I said, my basement is clothing optional and it is only about 30 degrees tonight. Out came the shears and I actually had to cut the darn thing off of me. NOW, Friday night will be spent shopping for some new fabric with some "GIVE" and then sew, sew, sew. Luckily my husband is covering night shift so he won't call the Looney Bin!

This is becoming quite an adventure!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

mrsfuzzmo,

I definitely want to see your dress! I've started my packing already and cant imagine trying to make my own dress. Looking forward to meeting you on the ship.

Mrsfuzzmo...I am def. seeing this dress! But I really think you could have taped or hot glued that new seam you had to make...lol
Hmmm, In-Laws across the street...Have you seen 'Everybody Loves Raymond'?
Good luck with the preparations!

And Heart: Hehehe...I read that thread :-)
