Have I forgotten anything?

Hi, have been busy planning our 1st trip to Disney in May and have picked up so many great tips from this board, thanks!

We've booked through Mercury Travel, flying with Virgin with a villa for 2 weeks at Windsor Palms and we thought we'd treat ourselves to 1 night at the RPR at Universal (for the FOTL access mainly).

Tickets have been purchased, an itinerary is in progress.

Are there any must-do's or do-not's that all you experts could pass on to a 1st timer?

Also restaurant recommendations for family of 4 (kids very picky eaters - I'm worried the US portions will frighten them to death!)

We are similar with food. If mounds of the stuff are given to me I lose my appetite. We are intending to use buffets (so we can go back if we want more) and in other places buy, say, three starters and share between the four of us so we don't have to eat full portions ourselves. We can then order puddings if we still want more.

In US restaurants it's quite common to share meals, so don't be embarrassed to ask Obviously the servers appreciate it if you tip in proportion to what it would have cost if you'd ordered a separate meal for everyone in your party! At buffets, however, you'll be charged per person regardless of how much each person actually eats.

If you do end up with too much to eat, it's also common practice to ask for what's left to be wrapped for you to take out with you.

If the service is good then, outside of Disney, I will give a very good percentage tip anyway. Its just a personal thing. I cannot see why a budget meal server should lose out just because their employer doesn't charge Disney prices.

The other thing is providing extra plates, or shared meals is all 'service' to me because it makes my meal more enjoyable. That doesn't always reflect in the 'bill', but I would reflect it in a tip.

I know its not the norm. Like I say, this is just a personal thing.
