We are only 57 days until arrival!!!:yay::yay::banana::yay::yay:
I want to know if there is anything else I need to do to prepare.

We have campsite reservations, local dog kennel reservations, dining reservations, MVMCP tickets, Park tickets, golf cart reservations, scooter reservations(for me), bought photo pass+ and the cd. I have been buying Disney items to give to kids on the trip in clearance isles. Because I am cheap that way. I have made kids tie dye Mickey shirts. I have dollar tree rain ponchos already in 4 packs, one pack for each day. I am currently sewing my daughter a Cinderella dress, she turns 6 while we are there. I will order her a cake two weeks out. I bought 3 sets of the Mickey Mouse Christmas lights. I even found window clings to put on the camper windows.

We still need to give the camper and awning a good washing. We just changed the oil in the truck and checked it out over the weekend. We don't drive it daily so it will be good.

I am excited. More excited than anyone else in the family. I think about this trip on a daily basis and the kids and dh only mention it occasionally.

I have lists of things to actually pack for the camper and us that I won't do until the weekend before we leave. I think I am ready but am wondering if I am overlooking something?

Another question if we have a golf cart realistically how much would we use our bicycles?

I know I can do online check in. I will do that after I find out what my hubby wants his pin to be.

We leave in 30 days from Illinois also & I have sooo many lists going!! We r renting an rv & staying at Fort Wilderness for the 1st time & doing MNSSHP, do u recommend reserving a golf cart or is walking all over campground out of the question? & FedEx just came to our door with our tix it's all falling into place & I'm so excited & ready to go ;)

Check your tires! We had a blowout on our camper on the way home. We did check them before we left, but let the 17 year old check the pressure and put air in them. I'm thinking now he might have overinflated them, which would not be good on hot Florida pavement.

Unless you like to just bike around for recreation, you'll probably use the cart and not the bikes.

Enjoy your trip!

Have you planned activites for the trip down? Crayola has great activity pages for each state. We used them a few years ago and my neices and nephews enjoyed learning about the states as we drove thru. It helped us mark how far we had gone as well. We leave 4 weeks from Friday!!!

I want to get new tires. Hubby says tires are ok. Guess who's gonna win this argument. hehehe. The TT is a 2003. I don't care how few a miles there are on them. I want new ones. We went to Santa Claus, Indiana in July and everything was fine. That was the first trip since last year but I don't care. There will be new tires on that camper in less than 55 days.

Camper tires are good for about 5 years regardless of the miles on them. Most original camper tires are crap (I come from a family of tire builders who know what the trailer companies specify for their tires versus the car market). Before I took off for my 1,000 mile trip to Key West in 2011 in my popup I took off all the crap tires and got them replaced with Goodyear radial trailer tires (which are more like car quality - higher that is).

If DH doesn't want to swap them out, I'd let him deal with it if/when they blow. But I hope it doesn't happen to you.

Agree with Ed, trailer tires are rated for 7 years max, most recommend 5. When I bought my Jayco last year I asked for better tires and they put a set of Goodyears on it free of charge.
I sometimes help my brother-in-law at his bodyshop. He does work for a local camper dealer, and several have been damaged by blown tires. I have seen entire floors ripped out. One blew a tire and the tire busted the floor and actually ripped the plumbing completely out of the camper. All of it. Kitchen and bathroom, one heck of a mess. Hope he considers new ones.

My daughter turns 10 on our next trip. Where do you order a cake? Would love more info.

We have CRT booked for her birthday, and we will be at MVMCP that evening, so a cake might be overkill anyway.....

Fish'n poles,,,don't forget the fish'n poles.

and worms, buy'em and bring'em with you. You can buy them at the Fort and the price $$ they charge you for a box of worms, they should be Magical,,but they are not.

Have fun ya'll !!

Well after not putting up too much of an argument hubby took the camper to get new tires. Good thing. Wires were showing on all 4 tires. Yes I made him say I was right. hehehe

Crisis averted. Bet it felt good. Da-yum, Gwen, you so smart.

Have a safe trip down and back!

Good thing you insisted! Now you're all set for safe travels!

We are going about the same time! Checking in on the 13th of Nov. And Looking forward to the Christmas Party on the 14th! Maybe will see you there?

Be careful on the tires and make sure the inflation is correct...invest in a accurate dial gauge from the parts store to make sure they aren't over or under inflated. The gauges are usually around 20 bucks and really worth it.

The chinese tires have always been problems....and Goodyear is made in China now...Its difficult to find US made ones anymore.

We are taking the bikes and BOTH bike trailers this time...makes it easier to take the little one and all of the stuff. Not worth it for us to take the golf cart...

I was lucky on my Goodyears. Their trailer tires had been made in China several years ago but production was brought back to the states because the quality was so bad. These are the stock I got mine from. As you say, it's probably back in China now though. Will cross that bridge in a few more years.

My DW and I called the Fort once about where we could order a cake and were told that WDW staff orders their office party cakes from Goodings...don't know if that is still true. Walmart also has a bakery.

For those wanting to have special desserts for DD, DS, DW, or DH, stop by guest relations on their birthday and pick up a Birthday button for them to wear. They will get special recognition just about everywhere and often will get a special dessert in the sit down restaurants just for being a birthday person. This also applies to Anniversaries or other special occasions. :thumbsup2

We actually will have new tires on our camper as well. We didn't plan on it, but the last trip, we had a tire blow out caused by a defective rim on the inside so it wasn't visible. We had just gotten our camper this summer so the dealership replaced all four tires and rims and covered it all under the warranty!!!
